This is a great family place. As tourist from the States traveling with a group we did not have the ability to prepare our own food. Our tour guide did it. Unfortunately dinner was very late due to an unavoidable travel delay. Breakfast was very good. Best we had for the entire 10 days as was dinner. Our room was nice but the shower left something to be desired, the floor was part of entire bathroom so you had to mop the floor after every shower. Lighting in our room was not great, we were in one of the older rooms. Still this was a nice place, owners were friendly but the huge dogs wanted to join us at the table and I do not like dogs hanging around during a meal.
We spent long weekend in this very nice place. We were a cycling group in a desert trip. The rooms were very comfortable the dining room very spacious with a very equipped kitchen that let us cook our dinner. The breakfast was grate but the best in this local is Mariana that realy spoiled us all over this wonderful weekend thank you Mariana.
Three of us spent one night in Shvilim Bamidbar during Sukkot. This place was full of people and yet nobody was crowded. Groups of people were every where. Our rooms were separte from the rest with a shared bath room. The beds were soft and the place was clean. We had hot water for the shower (with all that guests). The owner (she comes from Romania) has a heart of gold. She worked very hard to serve all the guests at Shvilim Bamidbar without neclecting us. She had fresh bread in the oven and we wanted to buy one. She gave us one on the house. Parking was not a problem in spite of the many guests.
I'll go back there tomorrow if I can.
This is one stay we'll never forget - oh that bread was something!
Thank you Shvilim Bamidbar.
I really enjoyed staying here. I came here to escape the crazy pressure of Jerusalem. It was peaceful and relaxing. I loved that I had my own private room for 100 shekels a night with a big bed since nobody else was staying in the dorm. I guess this is because I came in June. It was very hot. Having the swimming pool in the village, and the air condition was a real treat for me. It caused me not to care about the heat. They were very friendly, and picked me up from the bus stop.
The only thing I did not like was the flies but there is nothing that can be done cause its the desert, and I got treated really disgusting at the supermarket in the village. I recommend bringing your own food. They have a big kitchen with a grill , burners and toaster ovens. There is a big fridge to store your food. Just know its in the middle of nowhere this place. Its great for families they have hammocks, ping pong and a pool table. Also, they have a big screen t.v for everyone.
Also, its a good place to meditate on God and pray. If you come as a single person you must keep yourself busy.
It's our second visit and this time we took a private room which was very well maintained and very clean. The entire compound has a very relaxed family friendly atmosphere. The kids had a great time and we spent most of our time on the hammock. We didn't want to leave!
