Our entire stay here has been awesome. The people are lovely. Everything is super clean. We will repeat without doubt! The room is huge and really comfortable with an incredible pool. The restaurant has a lot of variety of food and all the staff is lovelyyyy💕
We had a wonderful time spending our honeymoon in this resort, the staff were friendly, the food was excellent, and our Villa with a private pool was amazing.
The gym, the spa, the water sports activities, and the number of restaurants with the variety of food they serve, all combine to give the joy you are looking for in your holiday in the Maldives.
The worst management the hotel looks 5 starts but is managed as a 3 stars hotel. There was only one buggy for the whole resort and the bicycles were very old and in bad condition which was very difficult to ride hence we had to walk long distances. All restaurants are closer except the pool restaurant which had very few options and was not really good. The over water room were on a very windy area which you can hear all day and night and causes high waves/currents under the villa which can also be heard very loudly. Also the water under the villa is unswimmable due to the current which loses the whole value of having an over water villa but you can swim in the ocean. This is my 5th visit to maldives and with i can say this is the worst hotel that i have ever seen, we asked the management what can we do since the weather is bad they said they can’t control the weather and were very rude. I understand they can’t control the weather but they can control activities and restaurants but they are not willing to do anything.
Pick up from the airport to the island delayed 3:30 hours at least, the customer service are bad when you make call to the reception you try 3-4 times and maybe they answer after answering late to request what you want , late on food orders to the room , late on the golf car when you request , you have to make sure with cleaners if they clean well or not may you ask them twice , air conditioner is hot , the pool cleaner pump not good , so i have 50/50 trip , i bean in Maldives many times with other hotels , i will never ever back to this hotel even if its for free , the crew in buffet was very good with us .
I had numerous communications with the hotel starting 2 months before the arrival. I advised multiple times that the male/female group traveling was not a couple and therefore would need two single beds rather than a shared king size bed. The hotel acknowledged the request and stated no problem. They have single beds on-site. They are standard in family suites.
However, when we arrived to the room there was a king size bed. In addition, the room was filthy and the overall construction was shoddy. There were cracks in the walls and sticky fingerprints everywhere. I immediately called the front desk and they came to inspect and agreed to move us to another room where they would also rectify the bed situation. We waited for two hours.
Upon entering the new room, I laughed out loud. A so called 5-star hotel thought it was acceptable to place a single mattress ON THE FLOOR as the accommodation for a guest to sleep on? Obviously, no person in their right mind is going to come across the world to sleep on the floor! The unrelated non-romantic male/female travel group was forced to sleep in the same bed causing an uncomfortable experience for 5 nights. In addition, the new room still had fingerprints on the common surfaces so I just wiped it all down myself with the disinfectant wipes I brought on the trip. For as much as we paid, this was not ok.
The food was so basic in the main restaurant where all meals were served. It was the same choices day after day. The only other food option was the pool restaurant. The shrimp there was good. The whale shark excursion was great and the guys went out of their way to make sure we saw one. Finally, the massage was the best I've ever had. I believe her name was Lena. Those two experiences alone are why I gave at least two stars.
All in all, I would not come here again. It was entirely too expensive for the lack of cleanliness and level of service received.
