We were an extended family group of three generations plus friends, and filled the entire chalet for a week while we combined a summer business conference in Lausanne with a relaxing family vacation. The surrounding area was beautiful, and offered wonderful sightseeing only short drives away, and the village was pleasant and quiet, with several excellent restaurants and hiking trails through the woods to a lovely hidden Alpine lake. The chalet itself was a delight. Adrian Chadbourn, the owner, was very friendly and eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible (even offering free laundry services!). Our group filled the entire chalet, and yet we did not feel crowded; the rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and were very clean. The large kitchen/dining room was a perfect gathering spot for our group, and we found the living room and balcony also nice gathering spots. We would definitely stay at Chalet la Cote if our travels bring us to the Alps again.
