If you like to be a little off the beaten track, with amazing views from your balcony of Positano, hosts who are incredibly obliging and provide beautiful breakfasts, then L'Uliveto is a the perfect place to stay.
It takes a short local bus ride from Positano to the accomodation, you get off at Piazza Capella and take a delightful walk to the accomodation. Next to the accomodation are about 1300 steps down to Positano, which takes about 25 minutes to walk down.
Our host Nuncia and her daughter met us on arrival to help with our luggage, and on departure also carry our heavy luggage up to the piazza at 6.30am. We are truly grateful. The room was clean and spacious with an adjacent bathroom.
Montepertuso is a lovely little village with some very nice restaurants nearby.

I highly recommend this B&B. We had plenty to eat for breakfast with home made jams from the garden outside the room. Nunzia was very welcoming and helpful. I will be recommending this B&B to friends and family if they travel to this beautiful part of Italy.

We were so delighted by our stay at this bed and breakfast. The view was stunning and the little town of Montepertuso is such a relaxing place. We should've stayed there for a week! Nunzia was such a good host to us and prepared excellent breakfasts in the morning (especially the lemon muffins). The room was very spacious and tidy. We will be back without a doubt.

Staying with Nunzia at B&B L'Uliveto was an amazing experience! It was our first timing booking through Air BnB and were a bit nervous, but everything about staying here was fantastic. The setup is two rooms on her home property which is quaint and cozy. She has amazing views of Positano and a very nice garden. The room itself was very clean, had a private bathroom and a comfy bed. Breakfast was SO good, we really enjoyed Nunzia's home made jams and fresh coffee. She really went out of her way to find my boyfriend green tea when she found out he liked it. Nunzia was also great at making suggestions on what we should see and do around the area and was always around to answer questions. A couple things to know before going (we were fine with all of them). This B&B is in Montepertuso which is quite a hike up-hill from Positano. It would take a while to walk back and forth and the buses when we went were busy. Best part about this is your home base is away from the busyness of Positano, but close enough that you can go when you want. In Positano and Montepertuso there are lots of stairs...everywhere. There were about 100 steps to get to the B&B, which is extremely low compared to most. All in all, we just got back from a 2 week trip across Europe and this was definitely our favourite place to stay. If we are in the area again, we would stay here again.

Stayed here with my partner and at first we were a bit hesitant to stay quite high above Positano however after the first day we were so grateful to head back to the beautiful Montepertuso. The room has everything you need with the most beautiful view of the ocean. Breakfast was always freshly provided Italian style by the wonderful host Nunzia :) and for those questioning the distance to Positano... All the best restaurants we went to were in Montepertuso anyway and the bus ride down and back to the B&B was always a great experience with all the locals. The walk down to town centre is amazing as well but not a quick one :) At the end of our stay Nunzia arranged our bags with a taxi she organised so we could spend our final morning on the beach without a worry.... what an amazing host!!! cannot wait to go back.
