It is a magic place, runned by a family who takes care of his guests and makes everyone feel comfortably at home!
we have been there three times in three different seasons.
in January, a bit cold and rainy, but still beautiful with an amazing view of a rainbow over the sea and the greatest breakfast ever with freshly handmade buiscuits and organic orange juice.
In July, hot and calm, we've spent one week with my two 8 and 6 years old girls.
A special holiday feeling at home with the special welcoming of Mrs Concetta, from the rich breackfast, everyday different, to the amazing dinner prepared by Carlo, the son.
the beautiful pool was a great alternative of the sea side in windy days!
in November, we went back , bringing some families and some friends, 12 in total, between adults and kids, we were expecting some autumnal weather, and we had a great surprise finding out that the low season welcome in pantelleria can be even better then the summer's... La casa dei Fiori was all for us, Mrs Concetta treated us and our friends at her best way...Carlo cooked amazingly for us... and the weather was just fantastic, still having temperature of 28°.
they helped us also to organize very interesting tours in the island and in the sea around it!
what can i say more....
thanks to the special Casa dei Fiori wonderfull family and a special thanks to Valeria for her kindness and the attention to our kids!
When planning our trip to Sicily we discovered the island of Pantelleria and decided to give it a visit. During the booking process communication was excellent, prompt and informative. Although we had rented a car we were still met at the airport by Carlo who guided us the 11 km along the north coast to Tracino. Although we would have eventually found the casa it is a bit tricky the first time, on a steep, narrow road (as many are in Pantelleria) having Carlo lead us was a great service.
The property is beautiful, with a decent size pool and of course flowers and other vegetation (palm trees, cactus, caper plants etc.) throughout. The apartments are traditional dammuso – the typical building of Pantelleria, built using lava stone. Ours – Plumbaco, was spacious with a great terrace providing views down to the sea (albeit still a long distance away). I have added a video I took that will hopefully provide a good ‘feel’ for our lodging.
One of the reasons we chose La Casa Dei Fiori was the availability of dinner. We planned on eating dinner three or our five nights and in retrospect should have done so all five. The quality and presentation of food, cooked by Carlo and served by Valeria was excellent, accompanied by some equally excellent local white wine. Reasonably priced the meals were creative and delicious. Special attention was provided to my wife who is vegetarian. She was very pleased.
Carlo’s mother Maria Concetta is charming, always with a smile. Unfortunately her English is limited (Carlo is quite fluent) and given our Italian is equally limited we found ourselves often checking our English-Italian dictionary. Each morning she joined us for breakfast poolside, under the almond tree. Breakfast is the traditional Sicilian sweet variety – coffee, fruit, jams and lots of cookies/cakes. Each day there was a delicious freshly baked cake. While very good we must confess breakfast was a bit repetitious by the fifth day. That said the dammuso has a large fridge which allows one to buy yoghurt, juice etc that we enjoyed afterwards on our terrace.
Casa Dei Fiori is not particularly cheap relative to the rest of Sicily – generally things are somewhat expensive in Pantelleria – but in the end we assess value, not cost. Our large, comfortable unique dammuso was wonderful. The terrace with views to the sea was wonderful. The quality and quantity of dinner was wonderful. The hospitality of Maria Concetta, Carlo and Valeria was very much appreciated – wonderful hosts. All of this made for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. There is considerable choice of where to stay while visiting Pantelleria. We were very happy with our decision and encourage others to experience La Casa Dei Fiori!
I have been one week at the Residence La Casa Dei Fiori at the end of March and I can warmly recommend this place.
The area, in the little charming village of Tracino, is the most beautiful in the whole island, and the Residence is beautiful with the wonderful garden, the pool with the sea view, the old dammusi-houses restored in an elegant and sophisticated way. The owners have succeeded in making the place trendy but still characteristic for the island, preserving the beautiful old architecture.
The service was great: the owner helped us in hiring a car at the airport and came to pick up us. When we arrived in the evening they served us a great dinner with specialties from the island, everything coming from their own garden or from local farmers: so tasty!
In the morning we had breakfast in the garden with home made pastries by Maria Concetta: delicious!
I was there with friends, but the place is perfect even for a romantic holiday - the place is stunning, and in the surroundings there are thermal baths and hot springs to enjoy.
I am already planning to visit again La Casa Dei Fiori very soon!
One fantastic host, Maria Concetta in Casa dei Fiori.
A very sweet and welcoming family took us in and gave such a perfect service.
We stayed for 10days and I would easily have stayed longer if I could.
Casa dei Fiori has a very good comfort standard with perfect relaxing by the pool or in the garden, with all the flowers.
The Dammuses are cool and clean with good equipments to make the perfect dinner.
The island is beautiful, magic and wild. The sea is crystal clear and the fishes comes in many wonderful colors. I warmly recommend cyclops for some snorkeling.
The food was lovely and there are some really good restaurants in the area.
Its good to have cash money, because mostly of the stores and restaurants do not accept credit cards. I will also recommend to rent a car at the airport. It will show you around and give you a wider experience. The Island has so much to show.
We will be back soon!

There are a few good restaurants in the village and short walk to the marvelous sea. The setting of the Arco dell'elefante nearby unique. I recommend a visit to the beautiful island Pantelleria.
