I stayed at this hotel last week, I had a good time and I'd like to specifically compliment the staff of the restaurant, the breakfast was rich and the desserts were delicious, dinner at the pool was spectacular, the staff was courteous and skilled, I recommend it and I will definitely return next year.
Good location by the highway which was convenient for us. We stayed for two nights the room was clean the bed was comfortable, the choice of pillow perfect for me as the one provided was too hard. Once I correctly entered the password the wifi worked well. The breakfast was good and plentiful also have prosecco so you can make yourself a mimosa. The pool area is nice. On the map it looks like you are by the beach but in fact you are about a 5 minute drive from the beach and beach clubs. They have bicycles that you can use but I think you should definitely have a car here as there are so many places to see nearby. Pietra Santa is about 15 minutes away (good for art galleries and drinks, dinner), Lucca about 30 minutes Cinque terre about 1 1/2 hours away. Excellent location for exploring then getting back to a good nights rest.
Outstanding staff, enjoyable pool, accessible tennis courts and 30minutes walk to both the beach and forte dei Marni city. Price for the room is low, and you will have great value for the money. Price for drinks and food was a bit high. Breakfast was perfect. I would recommend the hotel to build a gym, lower prices for food, increase prices for rooms and have bikes available for rental. Maybe also make a safer road to the beach, which avoids the highway. That would make the stay perfect.
I chose this UNA property because of price and past reviews. I can now add my voice to all the others and recommend this hotel to all travelers. Forte dei Marmi is part of the Italian Rivera. This is a beautiful, established, and wealthy community. Ferraris everywhere. Great shopping and restaurants. The staff was OUTSTANDING, hard working, accommodating and gracious. The facility doesn't look overly inviting from the street, but is comfortable and during their peak summer season has a great pool and grounds. We stayed in a generous sized room with a great veranda. The AC system was inactive and so we slept with the veranda door open, and that worked well. The included breakfast was superb and the wait staff made fresh specialty coffees for the guests.
We arrived late September for an expected fortnight holiday but gave up after four days.
The pool was closed so therefore also were the poolside lounge the poolside bar and the poolside restaurant/cafe.
Tables and chairs from the above had been relocated to the main concourse to provide evening half board meals with the warmth and ambience of a truckstop.
At 8pm at least one coach tour would discharge. Although a daily occurrence this would swamp the kitchen meaning that our 3/4 courses would take as many hours.
Food was a disgrace to the district.
Offerings included chicken bites with curry sauce ,chicken bits with sweet sour sauce and half grilled salmon.
The hotel is completely isolated with no public transport within an hours walk. A taxi to the rail station cost €25 each way for a €8,8pp return trip to Pisa.
In short do not expect to enjoy more than an overnight stay.
