Can be a little hard to find, especially in the dark, but well worth the effort. Absolutely gorgeous place to stay.(wish we had been there a month earlier to enjoy the swimming pool) About 10 minutes drive from Ponticino, which is where you will have to go to eat. Owner welcomes you enthusiastically, shows you your room and offers you the use of the refrigerator and a bottle of local wine. Very quiet, surrounded by the beauty of Tuscany. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fabulous. Thanks for your hospitality. Highly reecommended.
What a lovely place to stay! Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and immaculately clean. We were able to leave windows wide open or use air conditioning, room by room. Seven of us took up all but one room of this delightful house, and our host Emmanuel could not have been more welcoming. There was a delicious breakfast laid out on the long dining room table each morning, and a fridge and espresso machine were available to us to use anytime. Emmanuel offered excellent restaurant suggestions, and electric plug adaptors appeared in our rooms as if by magic. Price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Poggio Del Drago is absolutely magnificent in every way.. from their beautifully presented bedrooms, to their immaculate surroundings.
Not only extremely affordable but also high in quality.
I was recently part of a tour group with “My Tuscan Tour” and we were lucky enough to stay at Poggio Del Drago for 5 nights..
Nothing was enough too much for the owner Emanuele, he was so hospitable and did his upmost to cater our every need.
The meals offered were all delicious and of course.. the wine.. nothing but authentic Tuscany.
Thank you Emanuele and his team. We will absolutely be back...
If you’re on the look out for a true Tuscan experience.. Poggio Del Drago is an absolute must....
ciao..
Very nice host offering a wonderful experience in Tuscany. We used this B&B as two night road stop on our way to the south of Italy.
A beautiful and clean pool with great view was a great addition to the clean and very cozy room of ours.
Breakfast was very good, although if you are vegan you might want to bring along the most necessary thing (e.g. plant milk, margarine etc.). Otherwise Manu was a perfect host.
In our 17 days in Central Italy we stayed in eight B&Bs most of them Agriturismos. As most of them were of an incredibly high standard it is disappointing to say that this one did not live up to the same standard. Good points: stunningly beautiful and well kept grounds, air conditioning, easy parking, a swimming pool, free wifi, close to Arezzo, a delightful and charming host. Less good points: small room with almost no furniture not even a chair, uncomfortable bed, a very average and unimaginative breakfast, very little English spoken, wifi intermittent except in communal area, and on the one hot day when we wanted to swim the pool was occupied by the host's family and friends, i.e. young men kicking a football and pushing each other in, thus not welcoming to us. Whilst this was quite a good place to stay it is not in the same class as the other Agriturismos in which we stayed and was one of the most expensive.
