Le Terrazze has a "spot on" location in Alassio. This beautiful small hotel on the beach, with terrazzes, balconys and kitchen in the room, gives us possibility for a top vacation.
Egedio, Rita, Anna, Giordano, Fiorangela, Renata and all the others gives top service and will help you to make your stay unforgettable. We have been at Le Terrazze 17 times. It tells all.

Highly recommended !
We have been there 16 or 17 times.
Since I was a Navy Ensign back in 1968, I have had the privilege of seeing almost every mile of coast line in France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and respectable sections of Scandinavia, the Baltics, Morocco, Turkey, the Adriatic and Greece. We first visited Alassio in 1986 and promptly fell in love with the town. Since 1992, Le Terrazze has been where we choose to hang our hats, now twice a year for a month at a time.
Perhaps there is little more I can add to my two previous five star reviews of Le Terrazze except to say that they continue to strive for excellence, fair value and genuine warmth and concern for their patrons. Every hotel and guest accommodation needs to pay attention to its upkeep. Le Terrazze does that with zeal and good judgment.
After 24 years experience with this property, we are fiercely loyal and a bit concerned about having more people compete for our favored room(s). That is why most of the guests re-book before they leave.
You can find more luxurious places-at a higher price, and you can certainly find less expensive ones that are more spartan. Fur us, this is a perfect mix of quality, practicality and genuine hospitality.
If you find them fully booked, their second property, Villa Firenze offers similar facilities, but a block away from the ocean.
Having stayed here for several weeks to two months nearly every year since 1992 this won't be an entirely objective review. Still, discerning Tripadvisor members should know that this is a very fine establishment that takes exceptional care of their guests, enjoys perhaps the best beach front location in town and provides an extraordinary value. We have stayed here in Fall, Winter and Spring, but purposely avoided the hectic Summer season. The Fall and Spring offer the best weather, but a respite from New England Winters in January and February have been very enjoyable provided you don't mind the somewhat narrower choice of restaurants and open shops.
As a retired naval officer and sailor I have visited almost every mile of coast line in Europe, the USA, and stretches in Central and South America. We find Alassio quite beautiful, unpretentious and offering a rare mix of genuine hospitality and unique style.
These are beach front efficiency apartments. While not luxurious, they are cozy, well lit, nicely furnished and immaculate. The bathrooms have better lighting, towels and amenities than many four star hotels. The sleeping arrangements are high quality trundle beds, efficient but clearly not quite as comfortable as stationary ones. There are nearby gastronimias, butchers, fish markets and produce dealers if you want to dine in and a full range of restaurants from high end to basic pizzeria if you don't.
There is no need to incur the extra cost and generic impersonality of a hotel when you can rent a comfortable and practical sea view apartment with an efficiency kitchenette, access to lovely terraces and a small but well run spa at a very fair price. There is an exercise room, satellite television, wifi and cable internet access for those not just content to be on or near a lovely strand.
The host family could not be more genuine, willing to share their vast local knowledge and essentially providing the equivalent of premium concierge service. The adjacent and co-owned Joan Shop has a wide and sophisticated range of cosmetics and perfumes, costume jewelry and offers many exemplary beauty services such as manicures, pedicures, etc.
This town has cast a spell over us and short of buying a place of our own, this is our second home.
Le Terrazze has earned a very high percentage of repeat visitors from a dozen countries, some like us having come here for decades. The residence is child, pet, young couple and senior friendly. Indeed, anyone who is looking for a deeper relationship with this town and region will find charm, substance and integrity here.
Wonderful apartment-style hotel in the prime location, right on the beach and in the center of Alassio surrounded by shops and restaurants. Great and warm welcoming owner with perfect English and great tips and advice. The room was fine, two story so the adults bedroom was upstairs. Each morning we had delicious croissants delivered for free. We didn't use the kitchenette but the fridge came in handy. Our room faced the street which is really noisy but didn't both us much. Do bring mosquito repellant as windows have no nets and there are mosquitos in the area. The beach access is not included in the hotel (unlike in the US) as beaches are separate and privately run but the hotel has plenty around with great service. Overall, a great stay at a great location.
Booked in for a couple nights just before New Years. They upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment which was well received and much appreciated.
Rooms were clean and well appointed.
Both the 1 bedroom we had and the standard room my parents had amazing balconies that had fantastic views.
Staff were friendly and accommodating - quick to fix the internet/wifi when we pointed out it wasn't working.
I would recommend this property to anyone wanting something cute as a good base to explore the cinque terre in summer as there are boats that leave from Porto venere to the 5 towns. In winter it's cute and cosy but the boats don't run so you have to head back to la spezia to get the train in.
We had a lovely stay.
