I didn't want to spend a lot for 4 nights in muscat since I will be alone and travelling a lot.
Got an upgrade to a suite that was clean close to restaurants supermarket and free parking. Also has connections to the main roads and not far from airport.
The breakfast was always continental and had the main stuff u find in other places. Lack of fruit and healthier breads but I guess the local demand doesn't eat much of that.

The Tulip Inn hotel is conveniently located in the business district of Muscat. It has 150 rooms. I was offered an upgrade to Executive Suite. The room was newly renovated and spacious. The bed is firm, the linens where crispy white and altogether it offered a good sleeping comfort. The equipment of the room was good, Internet worked perfectly, a kettle for tea/coffee making is provided. The bath room is clean and modern and free toiletries are provided..
The breakfast was exceptionally richly garnished. Near to the hotels are many restaurants, such as T.G.I. Fridays, a Lebanese, an Indian and a Chinese, as well as usual fast foods such as Mc Donalds, KFC, etc.. A large supermarket is just opposite. The hotel has a gym, but it has no swimming pool. Muscat is wide spread. The journey by taxi to the airport costs OMR 8.- or USD 25.- . The same price is charged for a ride to the old town respectively the bazaar area.
This hotel is in compared to the Golden Tulip Hotel Airport in Seeb a much better choice.

We only spent two nights here but everything was so smooth that it was a great respite. First, we were upgraded by the manager so did get a suite. It was huge and lovely, comfortable bed, lots of wardrobe space. What a nice gesture! Second, the location was easy to understand and find the freeway access and nearby shopping and eateries. Third, the gym was well equipped and we needed that. Fourth, breakfast was terrific, so many options, and they change them each day so it doesn't become boring. The only minor issue is that there is really only one internet code per room. The second is a guest one and we had problems with that one staying on. Perhaps in the future they will fix that. We would definitely come back.

Good surprise for the value. It is a good hotel for a business stay. Spacious rooms, good comfort, good WiFi and good breakfast. Only the gym could be improved and the Sauna/Steam area is not really nice. Good overall experience. Ideally located.
