Checked in Fri 27th Sept- Mon 30th Greeted and shown to the Luxury on suite.
We could not find a fault here. Warm exceptionally clean. New Egyptian towels. TV coffee & tea.
Now the food... We dined 2 nights. Been an ex chef I am hard to please, so my partners says. They did it, I couldn't fault anything, nothing was too much trouble, The chef had all bases covered. Attention to detail and the full english was to die for, all sourced local.
A very enjoyable weekend
The bench mark is would you return? ... Definitely !!
We booked for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute of our stay. From the moment we arrived Dawn and Danny made us feel at home. The house is stunning, their attention to detail in the furnishings in the house is wonderful.
We stayed in room 1 (which is the smallest room) but was absolutely fine. The bed was really comfortable and even though the room is facing the road we were not troubled by any traffic noise. The en suite bathroom is beautiful.
We were booked in for breakfast each morning and dined in on two evenings as well, Dawn does amazing things in the kitchen!! There was not one thing we could fault with her food, we also had a packed lunch on the last day which was great value and thoroughly enjoyed.
All in all, a fabulous stay and we hope very much we will be returning in the future, Highly recommended.
We booked to stay a single night at the Foundry Master's House to break up the journey on our way to North Wales, but we wished we'd booked for longer. We were greeted by the lovely owners who showed us the room and put our minds at rest that they were doing everything to prevent COVID19 transmission.
The house is really lovely with period features, our room had the best shower I've used in years. A short walk from Ironbridge and views across Coalbrookdale makes this place great if you're a bit of an industrial history buff like me.
We opted to have breakfast at the hotel and had an excellent full English. If you're looking for an idyllic spot to explore the area with lovely staff then you won't be disappointed.
We had a delightful weekend at Dawn & Danny's beautiful guest house.
They have paid so much attention to detail in every respect, from the decor & furnishings to the food, & wine, while still maintaining a friendly welcoming homely ambience.
The small double room, was quite adequate for us as we were travelling light, & the bed was comfortable, the en-suite excellent & the room comfortable & warm, after a drenching walk. Dawn kindly lent us a map too, until we could buy our own.
The area is full of interest for walkers, cyclists, & packed full of well curated museums etc, we wish that we could have stayed for longer.
We booked 2 nights stay over the New Year. On meeting Dawn and Danny we immediately felt at home. Our room was the smallest of the three but it was perfectly
adequate. Lovely comfortable bed and gorgeous shower. Although on the front of the house was still peaceful. The only thing missing in the room was a full length mirror but that's not a deal breaker. The breakfasts cooked by Dawn were lovely especially the Eggs Benedict. We opted for dinner on New Years Eve and Dawn was very happy to accommodate my weird menu choices. The wine choices were also very good and reasonably priced. We would not hesitate to return again to the Foundry Masters House. The location is good too with an easy 15 minute walk to the pubs and high street.
