My partner and I stayed at the Elim Bank Guest House for two nights. The guest house is in an ideal location for both Bowness and Windermere. Just a 10min walk to the lake and even less to a range of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops. We stayed in room 6 on the top floor. The double room was spacious, had a double bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, tv, iron, hair dryer, kettle, water, strawberry squash, fan and electric heater. So basically anything you could need in your room. The shower room was small but the shower itself was powerful. Nothing worse than a shower with no pressure.
Breakfast was continental so, cereal, toast, porridge, pastries, fruit etc. Plenty of choice of tea, coffee and juice too.
Would 100% recommend the Elim Bank Guest House!

From the moment we arrived we were in greeted with friendly faces (behind masks) and high grade hospitality. Nothing was too much for Symmoane and Adam to do.
We stayed on a last minute honeymoon and we are so glad we did.
The room was spacious with a shower/bath and immaculately clean. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits.
Breakfast is continental which suited us just fine and the hosts were always attentive to serve us and topping up our drinks and offering advice on where to go.

Even other guests were commenting on how spotless the house is, especially as the couple do all the cleaning themselves.

If you're after a relaxed stay where you're made to feel totally welcome we recommend here.
Would reward 6 stars if I could.

We have just returned home after spending 2 nights in this charming, comfortable and friendly Guest house. Adam and Symmoane were the perfect hosts who went above and beyond our expectations to make us feel welcome.. The room was airy and very comfortable. Nice touches with the tea, coffee, biscuits, juice etc and lovely clean crisp white bedding and towels.
The breakfast was tastefully served and plenty to choose from including the “Elim” special homemade compote that was so very tasty.
We would definitely stay again. 10/10 guys

My wife and I have been staying here over the August Bank Holiday 2020.
The stay was nice, Symmoane and Adam were great hosts friendly and welcoming and it was a pleasure to meet them. Very efficient service by sending a text message once the room was ready. The Guest House is in a great location only just a short walk to the busy and bustling lake side. Free onsite parking is definitely a big plus as it is almost impossible to get a parking spot anywhere in the area unless you arrive very very early during busy times.
We did sleep very well both nights, rooms are very clean and attention to details by Symmoane. Even though the Guest House and the rooms are slightly dated.
We definitely recommend this place and we will be back ourselves.

Booked on short notice when holiday abroad became impossible. Family room for three. Great location, very clean, excellent beds great night sleep. The hosts Adam & Symmoane are fantastic nothing is too much trouble very engaging. Covid regs in place, rooms are spotless. Breakfast really nice no fry up but choice and options for a healthier offering spot on.
If you have mobility issues might not be the place for you due to layout and age of the building. Bathroom spotless but eventually will need updating. Car park an added bonus at the back. Great touch night before receiving a note to say it was possible to check in 4 hours earlier. We will certainly return.
