The room was a but outdated but still clean. I think I accidently booked the bigger room so I could fit more than 6 people to that room so my friend and I really enjoyed the space. We felt it was a safe area. Location was good because it was close to the bus, tram and metro. Reception wasn't there 24hrs. And the wifi was a bit weak in the rooms. Another downside was the lift was oddly positioned so I was no use to use at all.

The place is located at the first floor without the elevator in an appartement. The pension is right next to the tram station and 5 minutes walk from metro station. Very friendly the receptionist even if not available 24/7, there is still a number you can call. Very big room with bathroom inside. The bed was huge! I suggest to let them know what time you are coming. Wifi working good from our room. Very recommended for a stay in Vienna!

The pension is located on the first floor, but the so-called lift access could only do 0.5/1.5/2.5th floor; you can reach the lift on the 0.5th floor but you can NEVER reach the pension by lift. So if you’re going to stay at this pension with heavy baggages, you should be considering your decision.

The light in our room was so dim that we could not even do our make ups properly. The television could be turned on but without channels (only blue backgrounds).

The price is fair, cheaper than at least half of the accommodations of the same class in vienna, but I really doubt its class as a two-starred hotel.

We spent one night in the Pension Madara. It was easily reached by train from Vienna Airport. The city center is also very easily accessed by both tram and underground train. We bought a 24 hour ticket that covered all forms of public transport and found it very useful. The room was easily accessed using instructions that were very clear. Would highly recommend to people visiting Vienna on a budget.

We visited Vienna purely for the Christmas markets, so for us the location was perfect. Less than a 15 minute walk got us to all main attractions in Vienna!
The pension is located within an apartment block and is quite small.
Service was friendly on arrival, and the price was great!
The room is basic, but has everything you would require for a short stay.
The bathroom had strange smell for the 2 nights we were there, and the wifi unfortunately didn’t really work for us.
