My partner and I stayed here for 5 nights in the only room that has its own bathroom . We had a few issues to start with because the owner doesn't speak English so when they ask you to call 30 min prior to arrival, this gets lost in translation when you actually call. I believe the owner actually lives in the residential block . The B&B is on floor 2, his apartment is on the same floor just left of the lift. I'm telling you this as upon arrival it would be easier to ring the owner when outside the building so he can buzz you in because we ended up standing outside for half an hour thinking he was travelling to meet us but he lives there so could have let us in straight away, again this came down to a language barrier .
The room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable . My only issues were the shower which was pretty useless. It's a power shower with jets etc but they no longer work . Instead you have to bend down under the shower head as it's fixed in a very low position and wash like that, or hold the shower hose. The pressure is very low.
The bathroom also needs a little tlc as the paint on the painted tiles is peeling off and there's mould on the ceiling . The actual room though is very clean and tidy .
Breakfast was very basic. It's self service, in the kitchen right outside the room we were in ( we didn't experience any issues as not many people were around during our stay) but I can imagine that it could get very noisy if you are staying in the ensuite room as the walls are thin and the kitchen is used by all guest plus the balcony got smokers is just outside the ensuite room . Even when people were sat eating breakfast quietly, we found it noisy as the sound travels through the walls very easily . Same goes for the windows and the noise outside . All this aside, we were lucky that there were not many guests at the B&B and during the week in verona it's very quiet so we had minimal noise . During the weekend that we were there it gets very noisy outside until the early hours of the morning . Be prepared .
The kitchen is handy as nothing stops you using it to bring back some food to prepare there, if you didn't fancy eating out . There's ski a coffee machine you can use at any time. We bought back takeaway a few nights and sat at the table in the kitchen .
Overall, nice cheap accommodation in excellent location . You are about a 5-10 min walk from the centre, so excellently located .
I probably wouldn't stay again just because I'd worry about when the B&B was full, it could get noisy in the ensuite room. I wouldn't stay in the other rooms as they share a bathroom- not for me thanks !!
