The minute I opened the door the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke was overpowering. And I detest cigarette smoke. And clearly the person before us was a chain smoker. Even the bathroom reeked of smoke. When I spoke to the manager she acknowledged the issue but had done nothing about it. Nor had they fined the person who did this as the door sign says.
The room was utterly charmless and the bathroom as well. Charm costs very little and clearly this hotel was curated by a person looking to drive maximum profits and spend little. The towels are thin and threadbare, the toilet essentials are two tiny bottles of shampoo and two tiny soaps. There are over 250 reviews of this hotel and they range from awful to great. It’s your risk. If there is no cigarette smoke then the room is just charmless and not terrible. But as mine stunk from smoke I must warn others that this can happen. They should have sealed the room, cleaned it, fined the occupant and walked me to another hotel. They did none of these things. They will not get any more business from me and I am in Milan monthly.
Unfriendly staff and disrespectful, rooms are dirty not sur it's being cleaned up between customers. Plus the place is noisy at night time. Location is ok but I think you can get a better room for not much more.
Was in Milan two nights during interior design week and was lucky to get a room. This is a nice place, friendly and decent breakfast. Room was good size, average European bed, not great. Temp control was a little confusing. Bathroom had square shower stall, plenty of room and heated towel rack was quite nice.
Not what I usually stay in, but would go again.
Location was great for public transportation (Do not recommend driving in Italian cities unless you have great skills around scooters and bikes.)
Nice restaurants/bars nearby if you are tired from work or play.
The room was really nice and clean, but it had some problems: the door that reached outside couldn't be really closed, and the window on the rooftop couldn't be opened.
The bathroom was big, but there were no shampoos, only soaps.
The breakfast was excellent.
If they'd fix the windows, I would definitely come back.
Basic accommodation can still be comfortable. This was not. Bad bed, TINY shower. Had to request airco remote from reception (do people steal airco remotes?). Sheet only on bed.....no blanket in the closet. I actually used the second (oversized, thankfully) bath towel. The most spartan of furnishings I've ever seen in a room. Bathroom had step up to toilet/shower area and I nearly tripped and fell the first time I used it. Had to change rooms after the first night due to noise from screaming baby through paper-thin walls. They were indeed accommodating and gave me another room. Two nights were enough. It SEEMED clean, so I'll give them that much. I ran into the cleaning lady at one point and she was sweet and seemed like a hard worker.
