We had booked a pool view standard double room here for our honeymoon in March. Although they claim to be situated at a walking distance from the Las Ramblas street it is quite a stretch of the imagination and it used to take us 20-30minutes to walk there. The only saving grace was that the Paral-lel metro station was just 5mins away so it was easy to navigate. The size of the room was appallingly small. When we requested star hotel. It rather felt like a hostel. Maybe it's a part and parcel of the hip and eco friendly image they try to cultivate but it's not something you expect at the exorbitant rates they charge. Another thing we found very strange was the fact that in the so called breakfast buffet the variety was dismally limited and they had a laughable policy of only serving one egg per person and that too in their set preparation styles-scrambled, fried or poached (we requested the humble omlette which they refused). They describe themselves as "hip and trendy" but I'll be the judge of that! I would simply advise potential tourists that there are much better places to stay at in Barcelona. Strictly ok... nothing particularly memorable!
Modern, stylish, great food and lots of personal touches. Perfect location to hike up the mountain or try the best street for pintxo as well getting to the city centre and beach. The penthouse view and bath were spectacular. We cannot star enough and truly will treasure the memories of this stay.
Lovely little boutique hotel. We had the penthouse , the room was tiny but had a massive balcony with outdoor jacuzzi and gorgeous views to wake up to. Well designed little bathroom and some of the best room cleaning service with real consideration and care to our possessions.
Quite a cute , quirky little place, you have an honesty table to help yourself to snacks and drinks after hours instead of room service which I liked and free onsite yoga for guests. Great cafe across the road for brekky.
Rusted iron meant a new white shirt had to be thrown away however they did offer to pay for dry cleaning, which as the shirt was scorched we agreed free breakfast was better.
We had a wonderful stay at the Brummell, a lovely quiet boutique spot out of the city centre but only a few minutes from the subway. Our room was spacious, quiet and light and the bed was super comfy! The breakfast was delicious and we took a free yoga class and used the lovely sauna as well. Even the housekeeping was done with love! We especially appreciated the daily recommendation leaflet and the honesty bar. The staff went out of their way to ensure our comfort and offered personal recommendations as well. An LGBT-friendly and family-friendly hotel. Gracias Brummell!
We loved our stay at Hotel Brummell. Easy to get to, very welcoming staff and great room! Very comfortable bed, funky decor, and a yoga mat too!
Love what they’ve done with the decor. Funky modern and lovely to sit around. We were slightly too late in the year to swim in the little pool but the whole area is pretty. Small bijou hotel (about 20 rooms I think). No restaurant for dinner but plenty of lovely places around the area, and staff very helpful in advising where to go. Lovely breakfasts though and snacks available all day on a trust (sign a form) basis.
We’ll be back. Loved it!
