The clerk that checked us in, Raphael, was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast is not included but we bought the buffet for 8.95 euros. I wouldn’t do that again. It was overpriced for the options available. We had 12 hours free WiFi for a room with 4 beds.I would stay here again.

I grew up in Bremerhaven and the Havenhostel was recommended multiple times to me in the past so it was a no-brainer for me to try it for my X-mas trip 2016.
The welcome was just great - which is not normal for the "stiff northern Germans".
I had a single room there for 9 nights and it turned out it was the right decision to go there. Simple rooms but very clean. Fantastic room service, things I asked for was taken care of immediately, perfect help at the reception desk.
Breakfast I did not try but I was told it is perfect as well - anything else would really surprise me.
I will get back here for sure for my 2017 X-mas trip.

Cheers,

Karsten :o)

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the beds were clean. I had hoped for more pillows instead of the standard flat and one over stuffed but othere than that, comfortable.

The havenhostel is a realy big but beautiful hostel next to the havn or the centrum of bremerhavn.
We had a clean room with enough space for all of our stuff and with toilet and shower inthere. They have room wher you can relax or play table soccer. They have a small bar, too.
The breakfast was delicieus with small pizza breads, squirled eggs, different juices and all the other normal morning food.

Stayed at the Bremerhaven hostel for one night and found it to be very good, although a bit of a walk from the town itself. The facility looks relatively new, very clean, very organized and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were very good and very quiet. Parking was available on site. Breakfast is provided at a cost in the basement of the building and was typical European breakfast, but with hard boiled eggs as well which you don't find everywhere. Juices, coffee etc. Wifi was fine. Enjoyed our stay there and would stay again. The front desk clerk recommended an eating place for us - it's a short drive to the north from the Hostel - Treff Kaiserhafen at Franziusstrasse 93 - it was packed up front, and we sat in the overflow area at the back. The building is odd looking from the outside, but the packed dining room - filled with locals says it all. The food was very good - we had the schnitzel and the salmon, both very good.
