We were so impressed by our easyJet accommodation! When you have a cancelled flight there’s a fear of horrendous hostel accommodation ...this certainly wasn’t. The hotel is not much of a looker externally however the hotel is spacious, the rooms are clean, (spotless !) a very decent size with quite large bathrooms, a fridge , a safe and tea/coffee in the rooms. King beds are 2 singles with separate duvets so there’s no stealing of covers. The hotel also has a gym and sauna, a good breakfast choice with plant based alternatives for milk and an array of breads, cereals, gluten free options, fruit salads and cheese/meats.
The decor is good, the hotel had a nice vibe and the staff on the desk were really helpful. Checking in was easy , checking out was even easier.
The hotel bar was pricey for Berlin at €4.50 for a coffee (2.50 ish everywhere else!).
We enjoyed our stay, I would stay there again maybe if I couldn’t get in to my preferred hotel mainly because of the location. It was good for the Zoo, stop 1 on the tour buses and being near to Bikini Berlin and the shopping / business area (I preferred another area nearer to the main tourist sights)
You wouldn’t be disappointed if you stayed here!
I visited the Hotel Berlin Berlin for business. I was denied access to the fitness center and sauna and couldn't get internet access. The staff wasn't willing to help me and barked at me "what do you want?" when I went to the counter to welcome me. I forgot my smartphone charger in my room and the staff didn't took action to get it back so I had to leave without it. In the rooms you can loudly hear the noise of the street and the voices of guests in other rooms.
Queued around 15 minutes each time I went to the Reception. Young, cool looking staff, but did not see particularly efficient nor in a hurry.
Extremely basic room, awful pillows. Asked for an iron, not available. Breakfast was like a scene from the Hunger Games.
Location not great, and not well connected with the main station. 230 € that I could have definitely spent elsewhere.
Quite a decent gym tho. Still, not coming back.
Pleasing stay, good facilities, gym with all necessities and a sauna. Friendly staff and the rooms were clean. Easily accessible to centre of Berlin (Mitte), 1 min walk from bus stops and 30 mins to airport by bus.
We stayed here for 2 nights in May while passing through Berlin. The hotel location is good, a 5 minute walk from the tube station and easy to find. the rooms were clean and spacious and nicely decorated. The bed comfy also.
There is a small tuck shop downstairs for drinks and snacks payable at reception.
We visited the gym which was well equipt, and the sauna too. Beware of the Eastern European rules in regard to no swimwear in here! :)
There are other reviews concerning noise, however we experienced none at all.
The stay was fine, I'm sure there are nicer hotel around, but fine for a weekend stay at a decent price.
