Stayed here for a week, with my wife and son. Our room and bathroom were a decent size. This can sometimes be a problem in hotels in European cities.
The room was clean, and well maintained. Breakfast, which was included in the price, was OK, including lots of cold cuts (which I don't particularly care for at breakfast), but also fresh Brötchen, which are an excellent way to start the day, accompanied by fresh-brewed coffee.
The location was excellent. U-Bahn and S-Bahn just round the corner, and DB Zoologischer Garten within easy walking distance. The area seems relatively safe at night, as far as I can tell.
There's a pretty good Vietnamese restaurant next to the hotel, but be aware that they only take cash - an annoying local habit. There are other restaurants in the area who accept credit cards, but check before you eat.
Good place

Booked through Booking.com, what a little gem - nothing fancy small pension right next door to Savignyplatz park, and bus stops. Fantastic restaurants next door - Vietnamese and Chinese, along with The Butcher across the street. Plenty of little cafes around the park. Within walking distance of Zoo, Kurfstandamm and major trains etc. Rooms clean and tidy, (our bathroom was quite small but Im not spending any length of time in it so doesn't matter, again very clean. Nice Continental Breakfast and tea and coffee available all day in the breakfast room. Don't be expecting any frills but excellent value for money, staff helpful and great location. Would definitely stay again - stayed 5 nights June.

Booked a room here, but when we arrived a friend offered to let us stay with them. We had our friend contact the hotel to attempt to cancel our reservation, and possibly pay a one-night penalty. The hotel didn't entertain this at all. They'd cancel it, but charge us for the entire stay. So we stayed at the hotel.

I like the neighborhood, and the hotel was pleasant enough. Other than the complete inflexibility with the reservation, I'd say it was decent, but basic accommodation.

Stayed 3 nights here. Our room was pretty basic, modern bathroom though with a good shower. Free wi-fi in room too. Breakfast was typical continental, meats, cheese, cereal etc.. boiled eggs with toast satisfied me. Best thing is the fantastic location, kantstrasse is very lively, plenty or restaurants about and turn right out of hotel, cross over on next corner and S-bahn station is 30 metres away, with the S9 going straight thru to Schonefeld airport. Good budget hotel in great area to summarise.
