We booked the apartment through Airbnb, and at our arrival Merveille and her manager welcomed us warmly making sure that our stay would be the best. They upgraded us to a quieter room so that my parents-in-laws would get the rest they needed. The apartment is beyond perfection, it's huge, bright and the view is breathtaking. The parking underneath is free and reachable by elevator. The apartment has everything you need to cook, it's very clean, modern, the beds are really confortable and every room was en suite (own shower and toilets) which is perfect when you're group travelling. The location is amazing, only 2 minutes from Eyre Square, buses, and shop street. I'd recommend this place to everyone ! Merveille, (the receptionist) was amazing, and our stay was beyond everything we could have been expecting, all that thanks to her ! I am very grateful for everything she's done for us. The whole team is very welcoming ! I would gladly come back ! Thank you again for everything.
Nice apartment, comfortable beds and good location. As many other reviews have stated the lack of curtains in the apartment.... My daughter was awake from 5am due to the bright room and was just so annoying as if there had been black out curtains our stay would have been much better! Check in is easy in the Western Hotel however a pain that there is not where to park outside for checking in.... Had to double park and run in and out before going to our designated parking.
We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor. Really good location and great views all around. Apartments were very clean and bed was comfy. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit.
- Only con was the water from the tap tasted and smelt a bit strange so we stayed away from it.
The apartments are located right in the centre of Galway, approximately 2 minutes walk from Eyre Square. There is free underground parking. The one we stayed in had 1 large bedroom with a 6ft bed. Huge well equipped bathroom and enormous living room/kitchen . There was a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble-dryer, fridge-freezer etc. Good views. Highly recommended. Not cheap but good value.
my husband and i stayed for 3 nights in Galway at the Citypoint Apartments. lovely large apartment. fully equipped. great view. great location for everything; walked everywhere in town. only issues are as follows: need black out curtains in bedrooms, the blinds do not stop the morning sunlight from coming through; no tea towels or paper towels in kitchen ? i saw tea towels on a maid's trolley but none made it into our apartment; great shower, but need a shelf in the shower to put item one needs to use while in the shower; need better TV stations to view during those down times. washer/dryer took forever to wash and dry cloths. and very noisy; bird poop on the balcony walls - someone needs to keep this clean and need chairs for that great deck off the apartment. would have loved to sit out there and enjoy the weather and fresh air.
