We stayed in one of the beautiful Thai style chalets facing a spectacular mountain, the path from reception to the chalet is pleasant and the swimming pool excellent...BUT this lovely environment is now becoming dominated by new two-storey concrete accommodation blocks under construction and doubtless halted due to the virus. What a shame!

The rooms are a bit dated but it is lovely to have a pool. The price for a place with a pool I think is very reasonable. We had an incident with out room at night but the staff were on hand to sort it very quickly. Nok Nok the receptionist was very friendly and helped us to arrange taxis etc at very reasonable prices. I would recommend staying here.

We stayed here for a few nights in Jan 2020 and we had a fantastic time. Our family bungalow was huge, there is a lovely reception area and restaurant, but the best part is the infinity pool set in the lush gardens with a stunning backdrop of the mountains behind you. Most people come here to organise trips into the National Park but we loved the hotel so much we ended up just relaxing by the pool for a couple of days! Pool also has a nice big shallow corner for kids & amazing happy hour cocktails.
Staff were very friendly and can organise any trips you want to do. We did the jungle cooking which we organised ourselves also highly recommended.
Thanks for a memorable stay

We stayed in Montania Lifestyle hotel mid March (family of 4 adults). Excellent service throughout every step: first of all in making a direct reservation by e-mail: fast and accurate response on our questions and utmost accomodating for our wishes: we were staying first for 1 night in Montania, then spent 1 night on the lake and then came back for 1 night at Montania. Although we opted not to reserve the overnight lake tour via Montania Lifestyle hotel (reason is that we choose for another resort on the lake than the ones offered by them), they took care of us with full respect and pleasure (kept our luggage, gave us an upgrade for the first night, advised whenever requested). Accommodation at the hotel: we stayed both in family bungalow and the Thai Boutique chalet. The chalets are nice and more aligned with the environment (wooden structure) and we preferred this over the family bungalow (although the latter may offer for families a bit more comfort). All comfort is present in both room types, inclusive airco. Swimming pool: nice swimming pool, with sunbeds around it. Seen we have visited a lot of the area, we only were at the pool limited time, but nice area with splendid view to rest a bit. Poolbar offers very good service as well. Meals: breakfast: nice variety of choice at very good quality, lunch snack: good price-quality, fast service, dinner: plenty of choice at good price and quality (we loved dinner in the hotel as we had a far worse experience when we took dinner in one of the restaurants on the road to the national park). Staff: they make the difference in this hotel as they provide excellent service, utmost welcoming and friendly (specific thanks to the 2 ladies at the reception and to Phao - always around and available for helping with a big smile). Activities: we booked half day jungle trekking tour via Montania: was an excellent excursion, with a good guide and all practical aspects were taken care of the by the hotel (transportation to and from the park, extra water, towels, ...). We also booked a visit to elephant sanctuary: also here the hotel reception walked the extra mile: although short term notice from our side, they did everything to comply to our request, called the sanctuary aligning on our request and provided transport (including a stop at a viewpoint under way). As a conclusion: highly recommended place.
PS: I read in some reviews that there is a construction ongoing for an extension of the hotel - this is right, but there was no hindrance at all from these activities during our stay.

Visiting Khao Sok National Park was a highlight of my Thailand vacation. This hotel is in a beautiful location and has an amazing view. The pool is a wonderful way to cool down after a day of hiking. Staff were very nice and one gentleman in particular seemed genuine when he said he would miss us when we left. The grounds are well maintained which I imagine keeps the mosquito and monkey population down. Some may find the rooms a little primitive but I think that’s the norm in Khao Sok. Actually I think the rooms here are a step up. The door had cracks in it but no bugs entered the room. There is no storage in the room but the air conditioning is good. The town has a real frontier feel to it which is kind of fun.
