Altho I can not fault the booking in process with staff, the room itself made for a poor stay.
My husband and I booked the Travelodge as we were visitng the area for a special meal booked in a local restaurant.
Unfortunately we had the worst nights sleep we've both had in a long time (and we have a toddler! So that's saying something)
The room was clean, tidy and well maintained but we found the mattress INCREDIBLY uncomfortable to the point where we both woke multiple times throughout the night tossing and turning.
The mattress also appeared to sink in the middle meaning we often found ourselves gravitating towards the centre throughout the night.
In addition to this the pillows were quite thick with no alternatives in the room so I found I woke with a neck ache due to the height on them.
My last grumble was with the bathroom- again clean and tidy but whenever you flushed the toiled, there would be a whiff of sewage thrust through the sink plug hole which was really quite unpleasant.
Unfortunately there was rarely anyone on the reception desk and I felt it was likely too late to complain at 2am in the morning but the awful nights sleep made us wish we hadn't bothered staying over and had been better off spending the £80 on a taxi home instead!

The room was very clean and tidy - the heating was good and the shower efficient and easy to use. The room was quiet and bed comfortable - I slept well. Staff were polite and helpful. Excellent value for money.

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting family, the room was clean and comfortable and an ideal base for sleeping and freshening up. Pub next door serves reasonable food and selection of beers. Would stay here again.

The room was freezing cold, with only a tiny radiator, so bring layers! The room smelt musty but looked clean. The room was a good size. The bed was comfortable and the shower was a good temperature and the pressure was good also.

Yes you can open the window slightly as there is a window restrictor for health and safety. But this Hotel is cooler than others travelodges as it is not a tower built and management keeps windows open and curtains closed.
