This was truly an experience we will not forget. We booked CMC as this was one of the only places available in Caramoan within our date range needed. We drove from Bicol and was expecting lots of traffic but ended up arriving really early in the morning. The staff were extremely overwhelmed with the amount of guests already staying there but did their best to accommodate our needs. There were many delays throughout the day and even some confusing regarding the island hopping tour but we still had a great time.
Don't expect a luxury resort, as you will only get minimal accommodations. We were disappointed that the pool is not included in the room rental rate and will cost you P100 per person to swim. The food served is very basic, but is very delicious and is served buffet style depending on the amount of guests that you have. The rooms are basic as well, but are air conditioned and kept reasonably clean. I also recommend that you get rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor as the rooms on the 3rd floor can intermittently experience very low water pressure or no water at all. Overall our experience here was slightly more than mediocre and the island hopping tour was certainly the highlight of our stay here, however we will probably book somewhere different next time. We would still like to thank the staff here for giving it their best.
I recommend to the owner that they need to clean up the piles of junk in and around the huts and waterfall / fountain area behind the resort. This would be an amazing area for families to relax if it were accessible.
The staff are well trained and they know what to do, no need to ask for say water if they served some food. Very accommodating! They even offered to buy things we need outside that they don't have.
The rooms are clean and adequate. the toilets were huge! No water heater and with bidet. a stand fan is provided to boost the aircon. Sleep quality is good.
The hostel is located about 5 kms from the beach in Barangay Paniman. walking distance from the town proper. There is pool, billiards table, and nipa huts for relaxing. Videoke free to use by guests up to 11PM only. Packaged fee covers all meals and island hopping tours.
I like the staff best and there is nothing I did not like.
One of the nicest hostel near caramoan city proper. This resort is a bit far from the city itself, no walking distance restaurant/shop near this place but you can rent a trike to go to the souvenir shops. The free meals (lunch and dinner) are really good! Usually it is one meat meal, one veggie meal and one dessert. I do not usually eat veggies but I ate everything they serve here.
The staff are approachable and helpful. If you need something you have to approach them but do not expect them to help you if you do not ask. You have to ask.
I liked their pool. at least we have something to do after the island tour. They do not have generator as of the moment. When we went there the power lines for the whole city was cut due to a truck accident. Sadly they do not have generator.
No wifi and no signal inside the hotel. If you want signal for your wireless broadband stay at the gate area. You can get signal there.
This resort offers a great view. A few minutes from the port, church and market. Has big and small swimming pool. They serve authentic bicolano dishes. Family room is OK but bathroom has no water on the 2nd floor so we have to used the bathroom on the ground floor. Staff are very accommodating.
We go to Caramoan every year and for the second time, we stayed at the CMC Villa Caramoan. The staff are accommodating and friendly. The owners also are very warm. It's also a plus that they have a pool. After island hopping, the kids love to spend time swimming in the pool. The price for accommodations is very reasonable and affordable. An improvement area would be the food - maybe they can provide more selection. But overall, it was a great vacation.
