Write a reviewAbsolutely loved their wonderful energy and personal attention! From the moment we booked our trip, I received an email from Casa Gem (Itzel) acknowledging our reservations and making herself available for any questions, concerns or requests. I was traveling with two teenage girls and needed to be as prepared as possible. Once arriving to Casa Gem we were greeted like family. Our room was clean and cozy and beautifully decorated not to mention with great AC and Wi-Fi; Shortly after arriving Itzel surprised us with some delicious refreshments which we also appreciated!
For the next few days Itzel and Serafin shuttled my daughters and I to and from "5th Ave" a couple of miles away from the B&B on several occasions which was great since I was a bit skeptical about grabbing street cabs. Itzel also assisted me with our ticket purchases to two of the Xcaret Parks as well as accommodated our transportation services from and to the Cancun Airport. Our stay was short but definitely sweet. Thanks to Itzel and Serafin my girls and I felt safe and cannot wait to visit them again.

Accommodation in Casa Gem is excellent. Nice clean and comfort room, fresh breakfast, good service and very kind owners. You can just relax and enjoy yours holidays on the beach. But if you want to explore a little bit of Maya culture, Casa Gem is the best start point to historical sites: Tulum, Chichen itza, Coba... Itzel and Sarafin provide us the best service, informations and advices so that our holidays were the best. We recommend Casa Gem to everyone who want active and relax holidays.

This place is very comfortable
We had a wonderful stay in casa gem , our room was clean and fresh . There is Netflix (TV,room) and good internet , we enjoyed the swimming pool. A big plus for this place is the shuttle service and of course the staff that take care of any details as is breakfast as well!!
I will definitely recommend and stay back in this place next time I will visit playa del Carmen.

My husband and I did a 5 day vacation and previously we had done all-inclusive style vacation, but after reading the reviews on this I decided we should give it a shot! Man, am I glad we DID!!!! We've been telling everyone about it since we came back! It was perfect for our vacation! The gracious hosts helped me arrange transportation from the airport to the hotel via email before we arrived. We were greeted at the entrance upon arrival. Everyday we had the option for them to drop us off and pick us up using the WhatsApp -- which is very user friendly. The location is in a small neighborhood, about a 40 minute walk from the beach or a 10 minute bike ride. It is located across the highway from the beach, but that didn't bother us, because we were able to explore more of Playa Del Carmen that way and there was a grocery store very nearby. There is also jungle on the opposite side of the street, so I enjoyed listening to the birds in the morning! One day we borrowed the bikes and rode to the beach, another day we did Xplor Park, and then we did 2 beach days. (We bought our Xplor tickets through them and they had a representative come directly to the hotel so that we could buy the tickets. Then on that day the hosts dropped us off and picked us up.) We were tickled pink with the lovely breakfast (make sure to try the authentic Mexican dishes- delish!)! I felt very safe, and the room was clean. I really enjoyed the espresso machine in the room as well as the Netflixs!!! They are very fluent in English and they were so accomodating. I can't wait to return to see them!!! THANK YOU Casa GEM!!!
