They put an extra uncomfortable fake bed in a singles room, and called it a double. When I asked about the room size, they said that was the only one they had, and if I wanted a bigger room, I would have to add $85 and have three beds in one room.
Don't fall for it.
The part of the hotel we went to, because I discovered something. The hotel has 2 parts to it. An older part, with much older rooms, and a new part, with a nicer rooms.
If you're traveling from the states or the UK, you will absolutely hate this hotel. The room is beyond small, and the bathroom are super old and uncomfortable to use.
The only positive thing about this hotel is the fact that it's 7 mins walk from Dotonbori.
Stayed here this past week. Overall the staff where friendly and polite, the room was clean and there where vending machines available on the 1st floor of the Annex for if you got thirsty or hungry.
The Wi-Fi does not reach the rooms despite it being advertised. A LAN cable is available though, I'm not sure if this works or not as I didn't have anything to try it on. I found the bed and Pillow to be rock solid which made for quite an uncomfortable nights sleep. As its in a popular area, you can hear everything that is going on outside as the single glazed windows don't keep noise out or heat in.
I would stay here again if I was on a budget however I believe for a little extra you can get a lot more at other hotels in the area.
Room is tiny.
No coffee, tea supply by hotel.
Toilet size is very strange.
Venting need clean frequency.
Location is good. Walking distance for a lot of restaurants and shopping.
If you have limit budget for sleep and don’t want to hostel. This hotel will be a option
I booked a semi-double room. I stayed in this hotel for 1 night alone. Check in time is 3pm so I left my luggage there and went for a walk. When i returned to check in, they had already taken my luggage bag to put in my room. It was a wow moment for a while. The check in reception is in 1 building while the rooms were in another building. You would need to cross over to another building and use the key to access. The room
is big if you are a single occupant. I have no problems opening my luggage at all. It is near to Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi. Everything was great for single occupancy in a semi-double room however if its for double occupancy, it would be a little squeeze. Everything was great. Everything is within reach. There's no wifi in the room's building. You would need to cross to the main building to use the free wifi.
this is my second stay at Namba. this time we have opted for Hotel Le Botejour Annex a smaller room 16m2. budget hotel.
a bit cramp as we merely fit our both 24" luggage.
the bed is quite small for 2 people.
no wifi in the room. only in lobby.
it may be a better choice than the capsule type accommodation.
Location is excellence.
