Excellent location within a 5-minute walk from the Tainan Station which was a NT$ 25 train ride from the Tainan HSR (High Speed Rail) station. The corridor to the room is a bit outdated, but the room was fresh, spacious and comfortable. We had a standard twins room, and it includes a sitting area which was nice. The front desk was courteous, friendly and had good command of English. Other staff was very helpful as well. The breakfast buffet (included in the room rate) offered a nice selection of choices. We also tried their lunch buffet ($$$) once which was excellent. Note: the hotel has a brochure about the 88 and 99 tourist buses.
This hotel has the charm of old style hotel, with spacious room, excellent accommodations and comfortable beds. However it’s a bit out-dated and it will be refurbished eventually. The location is excellent, a short walk away from the Tainan TRA main station and next to the major tourist bus stops in front of the station. The main downtown attractions are also within walkable distance. As it is a large hotel, it seems it attracts a lot of tour groups or special venues which make quite some noise during our stay. Overall, service is excellent and friendly.
Very comfortable hotel with spacious room and nice marble bathroom. The hotel was probably constructed during the 70s but is well maintained and very clean. I stayed at number 305 during Nov 7-8. It has Japanese type of toilet bowl which is quite pleasant. When I rent a hotel room, one important thing I always check for is the location of the AC outlet. I will avoid any hotel that has it position right over the bed sending cold draft all night over your head and body potentially making you sick afterwards. Fortunately this one has it located quite right as can be seen in the picture. Also the bedding is excellent, the duvet has just the right thickness, not too thick; I slept very well. Over all I am very happy and would recommend it without any hesitation
This hotel keep some old style interior. Look at the key being used to any room and some furniture. However, it also feels modern at the same time. Nothing to be complaining for. It's definitely clean. I enjoy my stay here. And the staff, as usual in Taiwan, are very friendly and helpfull.
One suggestion maybe for the breakfast menu, which relatively similar every day, and limited choises for halal and vegetable menu.
Room is good (clean) and quiet. Location is great, walking distance to train station and the best is they will feed you well ( I got Breakfast and supper!).
Pity that the Japanese style room is a bit ex. Otherwise, would like to try that.
