We have been visiting Vasiliki for the past 4 years and we are excited to have come across this beautiful hotel!
The location is the best for older people, kids, and anyone who wishes to wind surf.
Its like a minute away from a huge beach Pondi, has a fantastic pool as well, and has everything you can ask for.
breakfast, lunch ,amazing cocktails, and home cooked food as the family who owns it ,knows how to treat their guests!
Prices are really good, and quality of service is remarkable.
Spyros the owner ,is a very polite, and attentive man,who for sure make you feel like home.
Next time you book your holidays consider this gem!
Hotel Odeon has very nice rooms, cleaned daily. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The rooms (I think all of them) have small balconies, perfect for drying towels and enjoying a drink or even a meal. We did not use the pool but it appeared spotless. The beach is steps away and it's perfect. There is a number of windsurfing places for every level, from beginners to advanced. Most of these also rent kayaks, boards and even bikes. The bar that serves breakfast for the hotel is excellent for food and drinks throughout the day.
My family and I (two girls, 9 and 11) have just returned from an amazing two weeks in Lefkada, including two nights in Hotel Odeon. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to any type of traveller, and particularly to families. Spiros provided such a warm welcome after we arrived by local bus from Nydri. He saw that the girls were tired after a long ride (we were 'backpacking' with the kids) and gave them a glass of orange juice on the house straight away. We were immediately shown to our room on the top floor; a beautiful newly-converted and clean space. We stayed in Room 36, which sits the entire length of part of the building and so has north and south views from two separate balconies. The south view is from the main bedroom and looks out over the lovely new bar/café and gardens straight out to the sea and the amazing landscape. North is the view from the kitchen/lounge area where the girls were staying on a great big converted sofa. Each room has its own bathroom, which the girls loved.
The bar/café is a very modern, chilled place to sit day or night looking out to sea and watching the world go by with great music and lovely food. The breakfast is brilliant, and is clearly made and delivered with care. Everything you can hope for is included, with pastries, fresh fruit and yoghurt, cereals, continental breakfast and warm items as well. We have been to Greek islands in many hotels for the past four years and this is certainly the best breakfast we've tasted so far.
The pool at the front of the hotel, while on the main road, is still perfect for kids and the sun loungers offer a welcome rest. You do not notice the traffic at all as Vassiliki is a relatively small town. We were all really impressed with the vibe of the place, being a combination of beautiful small marina town (c800m east - a 10 min walk), a shore full of cool bars and watersports clubs (right in front of the hotel on the clean and peaceful boardwalk) and traditional tavernas (c300m west in Ponti).
We absolutely loved our stay at Odeon. Spiros kindly drove us back to the bus stop for our return to Nydri, which was a very generous gesture. We even popped back in when we were driving around the island again in the second week, as our eldest had left some items in the room. Spiros found them and returned them to us, and we spent the rest of the day in the wonderful town.
A fantastic jewel in lovely Vassiliki and one we would return to in a flash. Thanks to all the team for a great stay.
We just visited this hotel during the busy season in August. It's a perfect location to the beach and nearby restaurants. The beach is family friendly with lots to do. Spiros is very accommodating and friendly. The beach bar employees, especially Vasili, went over and beyond for us. The rooms are clean and organized with great views of pool or beach. The only downfall I would say is that around 3-4pm the wind surfers are in full force (all out) which makes the beach very busy. You need to be at a constant look out for them while in the water. Also, if you are looking to experience the Greek culture, this area is definitely not the place. We didn't feel like we were in Greece at all other than the food/tavernas. I would suggest that more umbrellas and sun bathing chairs should be added. I had to wake up at 7am to ensure me and my family had shade. Other than that it was great!
Our holiday at hotel Odeon was in July this year during peak season and the hotel was mostly full. However, Spiros, the hotel manager, found a suite on top floor with views of the sea and was kind enough to reallocate us from a 1st floor room opposite the main road. For this we would like to thank Spiros. The room itself was well furnished with a fully equipped kitchen which we used fairly often for cooking. Breakfasts were in the hotel bar which was a separate building almost at the beach. Food was of normal standard with buffet and different egg-made dishes. Overall the hotel was a tranquil place with very friendly staff. There is also a small pool adjacent to the road which we didn’t use however, since we wanted to enjoy the sea as much as we could.
