We stayed 2 nights at Zamek Kliczkow. The castle is beautiful however there is work still to be done inside re. furniture, décor and equipment.
We loved the location among the Bory Dolnoslaskie forest.
The cleanness is spot on. Staff (except reception staff) is super friendly. Reception staff need some retraining. Also booking method is a bit outdated.
The pool is big enough and got a picturesque view on the park outside. There is sauna only, no steaming room. It would be useful if kids got limited time on the pool like it is in other hotels.
We loved the treatments in SPA. The staff working there was very professional and friendly.
Food is gorgeous! No complaints.
We were happy to discover this extraordinary place! Exquisitely restored castle, expansive grounds, easy-going friendly staff (that allowed us to check in early since the room was ready). They were very accommodating of all of our needs and it was a great place to travel as a family. The playground is excellent, high quality, with views of the castle. We were very impressed with our room - it felt as though we were upgraded. It was a very interesting place to be as there is lots to explore and discover, trails, biking, there was a horse tournament happening on the grounds, the swimming pool is also excellent (28 degrees). Everytime we were in the pool, there was no-one else there despite the hotel feeling quite full due to the horse tournament. We had a half board stay and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food (not superb, but very good). Everything was affordable for us (rentals, massage). Our room was quiet and seemingly completely sound proof with stone walls.
Critique points are that there should be more enforcement of mask wearing and covid regulations at mealtimes (hotel guests were often wandering around the breakfast buffet without masks or forgetting to put on the plastic gloves provided). No-one reminded them. Given the situation, this is too lax. Once the hotel got full on the weekend, we felt a bit uncomfortable. They should also air the dining rooms periodically, we never saw a single window open. Lounge chairs in the pool area looked like they really needed to be cleaned. Otherwise the cleanliness throughout the hotel was fine.
The one hour full body massage did not include the face, hands, feet or head.
All in all, this was an excellent deal at a really inspiring location. We would highly recommend it!
excellent place for a weekend trip.Beautiful park, peace and quiet place.Good food, large portions, clean large room.Good spa with variety of spa treatments.free parking, Friendly staff.Private tour possible.
We had a 3 day business meeting held at the castle. The rooms are small and the twin beds are so low to the ground they seem like children’s beds. The Food buffets for lunch/dinner were good. The meeting room a little cramped for 30. but the castle and the grounds are beautiful. The staff helpful and accommodating. The value was great. Overall a nice experience.
Although we got married in Italy, we decided to have a party in Poland for our extended Polish family and our international friends, and we chose Kliczków. We booked a year in advance and we were lucky that we found the Theatre Hall and the adjacent room available. The location is splendid and really wowed our guests. The party turned out very good, from the food to the service, everything was perfect, and everyone and everything was very well taken care of by the staff, starting from Weronika and Agata who helped us coordinate the event, to the waiters who served the dinner, to the kitchen because the meal was very good (and everyone complimented the food, both served at the table and on the buffet). Considering that we are a gay couple, we were somewhat surprised that the hotel wasn’t bothered by it and they decided to label our party hall with ‘Wedding Leo and Piotr’, which we thought was very LGBT+ friendly on their part.
Finally, we need to mention that they surprised us by upgrading all our guests’ rooms from the Falwerk to the Hotel, which made the event extra special for everyone.
On the Sunday we had a nice late lunch by the Falwerk and the food was good also in that occasion.
Well done!
