I would like to stress my disappointment and dissatisfaction in the Customer service we received at Black Swan B&B, it was my first and also my last time to ever book at the service provider. Both myself and my colleague had done a spur of the moment booking which was approved and accepted, on the confirmation document from Travel with flair there is a notification highlighting our late arrival, we also kept call the venue to keep them informed of our possible arrival however be as it may,we arrived at the B&b at 23:40 and got "House to Let" which resulted in me a my colleague sleeping the back our our work bakkie after bring on the road for more then 8 hours. I am appalled by the sub standerd service we received after we told reception we would arrive late, My 2c worth to management at Black Swan is rethink your Strategy wrt curfew as you could possible sit with many more of these types of reviews as this could be prevented by simple leaving our room keys in a Post Box, Under a Stone, In a tree just to maintain some level of professionalism.
Room was great. Nice kitchen with granite kitchen counter, big fridge and basin, but .......
no cutlery or crockery in the room other than 2 tea cups and one glass. 3 sachets of coffee, 3 sachet of sugar and 3 sachets of Cremora were the sum total of what we found in the kitchen. The main house was closed up from 19h00, so we had no where to go with our take out dinner. We also travelled with kids, but guest house owners could not assist with spare mattress or spare sheets/pillows/duvet. Not one of the bedding items were available.
We frequently stay at this very cosy guesthouse with wonderful friendly owners. The rooms are comfortable and if you don't want to be in your room you can either play putt putt on the premises or you can have something to drink at the restaurant/bar . The restaurant caters only for guests so there is no overcrowding and the food is superb and very reasonable. Truly value for your money and great food
I had to stay over one night in Queenstown, en route to Kings William's Town, on the night of 7 August 2016. I struggled for one hour phoning around, phones answered by people who cannot speak proper English and/or giving wrong directions.
On phoning The Black Swann, Brent answered, friendly and in a professional matter. He made me feel immediately welcome and comfortable. I was introduced to a lovely room with double-bed, electric blanket, nice cushions, full DSTV, big room and a very clean and big bathroom! Travelling from George to Johannesburg, Queenstown, Kings William's Town and on my way back to George within four days, this room was fit for a King!

I must admit that I was surprised, pleasantly. The room was nice with a good ensuite which had a shower.
Only downside was the breakfast. The fried eggs were slightly burnt, oh dear. The person who greeted us was very helpful advising us of how things worked in the rooms.
