We visited during Holi long weekend. Will recommend this nice resort. They have scattered rooms in 4 different categories.
We stayed one night at Tiger Den room which is top category, very spacious rooms at middle of the resort with private pool access for 6 of the rooms for this category and common pantry to cook and refrigerate etc.
Another night we stayed at Riverview rooms (river view from room itself) and balcony area to watch the Kosi river flowing right next to it and night/early morning very cool, you might need pullover in the month of March/April. Though rooms were very basic infrastructure and decor can be improved.
One riverview restaurant for buffet meals and another open air riverside restaurant where you can get your own drinks but at additional charge BBQ, Mocktails, Hookah etc are available with complimentary live music.
The best part of the resort is 500m-1 Km long Kosi river open access where you can have fun (take all precautions) with swings facing towards it, selfie point. Big lawn to play cricket, football and separate area for volleyball, TT, carrom, chess etc. 2nd common pool for everyone. Also horse-riding available at extra cost.
Service was good, staff very helpful, however slight improvement required in food and amenities in room with better mini-refrigerator. Rest everything was fine.
Holi arrangements were nice with DJ and snacks. But they should also do Holika Dahan program before Holi.
Enjoy and visit this resort with your friends and families.
We booked a riverfront room but it was not even close to what their website shows. The view outside of our "riverfront room" was a disgusting black building. The room smelt like a hospital, maybe it was unopened for months. To see the river we had to come out of our rooms on a common deck shared by multiple other rooms. The layout of the resort rooms resembles a 'chawl' like construction. But the common grounds & areas are OK. After much argument we were offered the 'tigers den' room for one night which had a relatively better view & a promise to shift us to the actual riverfront room the next morning. So in principle, there are 2 categories of riverfront rooms-zero yard & 50 yards. Dont be deceived by the pics as you may end up being in the 50 yard away riverfront room!
Stayed at the Tiger Den room at the property. I must say that I have had the best experience of my life. With two strategically located restaurants, one for barbeque and live music and the other for Breakfast/ Lunch/ Dinner allows you to enjoy both indoor and outdoor experience. Rooms, gardens and other places are very well maintained. Special mention is about the garden area just next to the river where one can sit and enjoy morning/ evening tea/ coffee. Chefs are really good and prepare/ serve excellent food. Would like to especially thank Mr Deepu Nair, GM; Mr Ramesh Barlow, Guest Relations Manager, Mr Kumar and the entire team of Aahma for making my trip indeed a memorable one.
Riverside by Ahama is a beautiful resort on the bank of Kosi River. Our family stayed there along with my friend’s family during Jim corbett national park visit. We really appreciate Mohit’s help and suggestion from Reservation side in getting awesome riverside view room. That room is the only room in resort where we have the separate balcony facing riverside. Our Mornings used to start with chirping of birds, and having cup of tea.The restaurant manager Mr Dinesh was very supportive as he arranged a riverside dinner for my friend’s birthday celebration. He also arranged early lunch according to our plan and beyond their regular time of restaurants.
Evening tea with a beautiful river side restaurant and live music was awesome.Food was also delicious and was cooked to perfection.
Property is very big and beautifully managed. River increases its beauty to many fold. One day of the trip one should keep to explore the resort and its surroundings.
Only one thing we think which is a bit lagging is housekeeping. Even after cleaning the toilets one can observe dirt at places, amid this covid time they must take extra care in housekeeping and improve this to next level.
Rest all was great and we must recommend this to stay at the Riverside resort.
This is a fabulous resort from location and hospitality perspective. Food was fantastic by Chef Bisht. He clearly knows every sprinkle of salt on the dishes . Cook food to perfection. Mr Atul at reception was very warming. Mr Romesh Barlo was very informative and has provided info to carry warm pullovers during safari in Feb'21. He has also shown fishes, which I missed in my first observation. Evening snacks and location was excellent as well. Fast room service.
