Perfect experience from the time we booked to departing.
Staff were 1st class ! Friendly helpful and nothing was too much trouble.
Campsite was well laid out given you plenty of room between caravans and extremely clean. They have the cleanest toilet blocks I have ever seen on a camp site.
We had pitch 441 (which was a hard standing pitch with water and electricity ) although it was quite close to the amenities we never hard any noise. Being on this pitch meant we had excellent WiFi connection .The shop is well stocked and reasonably priced.
Total relaxation and so quiet.
The only thing I would have like on this campsite was a hot food outlet whether it was through a mobile van or static place as you don’t always want to cook or have to drive out especially if you have had a drink.
Plus a pool . I know you can use Shorefield country park but that is a bit of a drive to get to .
Having said that I would definitely recommend this site to others and I will definitely be coming back.
Well done to you all at Lytton Lawn park.
We stayed for 3 nights camping - after reading a few reviews after booking this short break we were a little worried - however, we had absolutely nothing to worry about! This site is a little gem - showers / toilets very clean, washing up facilities very good and we didn’t use it but the laundry room looked good too. We have two very small children and found the park on site a little small / not suitable for them but as we spent most of our days out and about this didn’t matter to us particularly. We had a lovely plot 247 - located near the toilets / showers - perfect for us, may not suit everyone but ideal with the kids. Staff very helpful and the shop had the basics we needed - I’d recommend this site to anyone wanting to stop in the area - we will be coming back for sure.
This was the 5th time we have stayed here since 2010. We loved it before but very disappointed this time. The site is no longer maintained to the high standards it once was & the shower blocks need total renovation. There is hardly room to move in them & the water doesn't always drain away properly. Our pitch was in poor condition. It was meant to be a premier pitch but was just a strip of worn tarmac with a small gravel area for an awning. Pitches also very close together so site felt crowded. Disappointed because we absolutely love Milford on Sea but won't be returning unless major improvements are made.
A return visit with an unexpected discount of 20% to complete the school summer holidays. We had previously used the executive serviced pitches, but this time a very large grass pitch (275) gave us loads of room with the 'van pitched across the rear of the pitch, awning attached. Our friends were on the next door pitch providing social space to play hoopla and bowls, sit out in the sun and enjoy a super site full of mixed groups of other campers.
We used the swimming pool, bar and amusements at the linked site the other side of Milford that is available in the pitch fee. Oh and call in for ice cream on the seafront on the way back.
Check in was rapid. Wardens friendly and jovial as they did their rounds and maintained pitches emptying each day.
Toilet blocks were spotless throughout our stay.
A great day out cycling from the site, turning right and going to Keyhaven, then along the tideway path and onto the headland twixt Hurst castle and Milford for a fish & chip tea at the Needle Eye Cafe, followed by ice cream, as we are at the seaside. A lovely cycle back up the hill to site to burn off those calories.
The 10:00 am leaving time is a challenge after a busy few days.
A super site in a great location, with the ability to use leisure facilities at the sister site make this a top spot for a break.
Pitches were quite close and not really enough room to park the car in-between for a bit of privacy. Toilets could do with a deep clean and although there are signs to say that they shut for cleaning at certain times I didnt see them being cleaned. Floors were pretty grim.
Music and talking was a little irritating when you are trying to sleep and campers need to be reminded that they should keep noise to a minimum after 10pm. Also they need to watch people who dont keep their dogs on a lead. The patrol did respond to a very rowdy crowd around midnight and things were dealt with well. The clay pigeon shooting was very annoying and extremely loud but that isnt the fault of the campsite but bear in mind. It is also on a road that can be disturbing for tents.
