I must admit, I was a bit surprised to find that we were staying in a modern annexe part of the hotel, rather than the beautiful old manoir itself which is, of course used in all the publicity and main images for the hotel to woo customers. But once I got over the shock, we discovered that it was a very adequate room with air-con in summer, heat in winter, clean and fresh, nice bathroom and best of all, the bed was extremely comfortable.
We stayed for one night while travelling the area. Stunning setting on the banks of the Loire. Room 7 was modern & clean with a side view of the river looking across the public car parking area. Good size shower but seemed a shame it had a very small spray head. Kettle provided which was a nice touch, but no bottled water was given.
Dined in the A la Carte restaurant. Service was first class. You could have a 3/4 or 5 course menu. We loved the two starter courses & desserts but found the main course a bit lacking. Maybe salt on the table would have helped.
Car park only has two disabled spaces other cars can use public car park alongside the hotel.
Only 3 years old, converted from the house and factory for sail making. Very modern design with art works. Room 16 was quite small overlooking the flat roof, ground floor rooms open onto the garden and terrace. Definitely will need a/c in summer. Large bathroom with overbath shower. Free wifi. Restaurant has a small menu from which you choose 3,4,5 or prebook the 7 course tasting menu. Food was beautifully presented, perhaps the best beef we have eaten in France! Breakfast was good, local fruit juices, jams, artisan bread. Can eat outside in summer. A logis premiere, so not cheap but worth it. Parking is outside in the square.
A really lovely, smallish, hotel on the banks of the Loire and just a 20 minute bus ride from the centre of Angers. Our room was not over large but very clean and comfortable with A/C and tea/coffee in the room. A lift to the upper floor and excellent wifi made the trip very comfortable.
We recently stayed here for one night on our way South. It was splendid from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room is beautifully appointed and all aspects of our stay could not have been better. The food was truly exceptional and the location is right next to the Loire.
