I stayed for 1 night in this hotel, as it was close to our customer's office.
I tried to find a clean, decent and non adult-only (love) hotel in the vicinity and this was pretty much a no brainer.

The size of the room was surprising, as am usually at larger facilities, but for a single night, it's decent enough.

Front desk (3rd floor) was very courteous and I had no issues.
Note that if you want to iron, you need to borrow from front desk and also call when you're done since it's not per room.

Well first off , ive been working in the area for 20 odd years and had never felt the need to stay at this hotel. But working late i stayed here . Nice and clean as expected , smallish rooms, no more so than that of most other japanese so called business hotels . Room was a double and was not so bad for us. Not the smallest i've been in.
Reasonable for the price and remember this is japan. Had newspapers in the lobby both english and japanese , buffet breakfast which looked ok, allthough i did not try it. ]
Staff were polite and helpful...spoke in japanese so not sure how good their english is but overheard a little and sounded ok. I think this a nice hotel for the price and only 15 min from kyoto st by train and minami- kusatsu st is 1min from the hotel ! There is a 7-11 next to the hotel that sells the usual stuff. beer and tabacco too. There is a hug supermarket near by and some restaurants . I tell my family to stay here when they visit if they can ..

We have booked this hotel very early, in Sep'15 for our Apr'16 stay. All reasonably priced hotels in Kyoto have been already booked. Considering the fact that it was a short ride to/from Kyoto Station and location of this hotel next door to JR Minami Kusatsu we decided that this is the only option. Overall we had a good stay. The room with queen size bed was very, very small but the bed was very comfortable. When we've put our luggage on the floor there was no room to walk around the bed. No closet or wardrobe for our clothes. We had to hang our clothes on two hooks. Pod bathroom was extremely small as well. It reminded us of cruise ship tiny bathrooms. Water was hot and plentiful and water pressure good. We had portable wi-fi unit so we did not use hotel's free wifi at all. TV had only Japanese stations, no English at all. Breakfast was ok, only Japanese options available plus scrambled eggs. Coffee was tasty. Good Japanese tea. Hotel is rather new and very clean, nice staff, even though they don't speak much English. Good option when you simply can't stay in Kyoto for some reason!

Room aren't as spacious as expected so once you open your suitcase you will find difficulty trying to walk around the room. However all necessities were provided including hairdryer, bathtub, TV, etc, room and toilet were clean as well and adequate. Just staying for a night before we continue on the road trip so the stay was relatively fine.
