We had a lovely stay at La Combe Fleurie. Our room was very comfortable and spotless, and the common areas are warm and welcoming. Both dinner and breakfast were great and we enjoyed the interaction with other guests and with Laura and Julien. The grounds and the local area are beautiful, with lovely views from our room, and in particular, from the dining room. Our only regret is not staying longer. It is great value for money. The place has a lovely homely feel about it, and we highly recommend it.
Set in it's own grounds with adequate parking, the surrounding scenery is fantastic.
Agnes and Donald are warm friendly hosts, the accommodation is exquisite, French country house style, very warm and cosy.
My room had a door to the terrace and large extensive garden, furnished with many tables, chairs and sunbeds scattered around.
Breakfast is fresh and home made, all delicious.
My only complaint...we were only there one evening!
If ever I'm back in the area, this is where I will be stopping over. No wonder Donald has stayed there for thirty years.
A very warm welcome from both Donald and Agnes was only the start. The room and facilities are fantastic and its like a home from home. The breakfast is excellent.
Its location is amazing with great views of the mountains and only a short stroll down in to the local town with bars and restaurants.
All in all a great place in a great location.....
Ah yes! We loved our stay at la combe fleurie. It has a lovely setting up the hill, yet it is easy to stroll into town. Room has comfortable bed with small bathroom with great shower. We also had a small terrace. No tea facilities but hosts are more than happy to make a pot of tea or coffee!
We opted for donald's cooking which was great: not only the food itself (very good and local), but also having the company of other guests and our host: a great way how different nationalities come together at this large dining table.
Breakfast is so much more than you expect!
Will definitely return when in the region.
La Combe Fleurie offers tranquility of mountain setting but is situated within convenient distance of main highway (N85). Our second floor room was spacious but homely equipped with a kitchenette. In the evening we shared a long table with other guests and enjoyed delicious meal prepared by chef Donald. The breakfast was sumptuous from local sources and served in a cozy, large-window dining room where we could admire the surrounding garden and amazing mountain views. We stayed only one night but wish we could stay longer to explore the hiking trails of Champsaur. Definitely recommend!
