It’s been said Beijing's traditional culture is embodied in its historic hutongs—narrow lanes or alleyways. The families who dwell in these beautifully preserved areas often open their homes to EF student-travelers, offering an authentic taste of life in this dynamic city.

Popular things to do in Beijing in March
I’m not a fan of long transits at airports in big cities like Beijing. Sometimes flights get delayed and the waiting time is not worth the traffic or effort to head into city center! The Hilton Beijing Capitol Airport was perfect for me to freshen up, snuggle under the sheets for a couple of hours with a cup of hot tea. The free shuttle bus runs every 15-20min from both domestic and international terminals and is a complete breeze when you’re struggling with big bags and luggage. Transit luxe!

If you’ve always wanted to explore the city’s shopping scene but didn’t know where to start, you’re in luck.
