This is not a short visit item. Allow at least two hours so that you can take your time.
Visit any time, but it is busiest on Sundays or first Thursday evening of the month
This is a must see when visiting Johannesburg not only for the history but the art work around the campus is pretty fantastic
The best views of the city. Wonderful both day and night. My last visit was just before sunset, which gave a bit of both.
I haven't been on the rides in a while but this is a lot of family fun
Great variety of night life venues from cozy to bustling. Great variety of music too. Braamfontein also offers good night life, but this is my preference
A unique South African experience. There are a lot of good guided tours on offer. You could include stopping by the Orlando Towers and bungee jump!
Exhibits change from time to time - a nice stocking filler for a rainy day when those happen.
If you need to have crafty things, this is a convenient stop with it all under one roof.
This is well-worth a visit. Good mix of local artists
Outstanding venue and exhibits - well worth visiting while in the city at Neighbourgoods or before going to the top of the Carlton Centre
I have yet to find better coffee in the city. The staff are always so welcoming.
Always good music, cheap drinks. Nice place to meet locals.
Take your time and enjoy this oasis in the middle of the city
Saturdays only and definitely must be seen when you visit the city
I have not been, but several friends and colleagues have raved about the caves. While there you can also schedule a balloon ride which has also had amazing reviews.
