LynnePP's City Tips

  • You will come across numerous security check points in Nusa Dua. Don't be alarmed!
  • Most restaurants in Nusa Dua add service and tax automatically onto their bills. Tipping extra is not compulsory, but is appreciated for good service.
  • If you want to do some serious shopping, grab a taxi and ride over to browse the Kuta/Legian/Seminyak areas.
  • Many metered taxis operate in the area.
  • If you are licensed to ride a motorcycle, it is a good way to get around.
  • Think about hiring a car and a driver if you go to out of the way places.
  • Dress in this area is smart casual.
  • Ask your hotel reception where to find/how to get to places like The Blow Hole, Puja Mandala, Bali Camel Safari, and Pura Bias Tugel from where you're staying.

Whitish sand, warm water, and a sheltered location (protected by an offshore reef) make Geger a popular choice for beach goers. Hire a sun lounger and umbrella, sit back, and have a cold drink brought straight to you.

The Bali Fun Ship is a full day of entertainment and activities, starting with an 8:30am pick-up from your Nusa Dua accommodation and ending with a 5pm drop-off. You'll begin with a cruise to Lembongan Island (90 minutes away), where you'll berth beside a pontoon just off the island. Then the water sports begin! Two hours of waterslides, banana boats, snorkeling, kayaking, and glass-bottom boat explorations is enough to build up a big appetite. Cue a scrumptious buffet lunch before your boat trip over to Coconuts Resort on Lembongan, where you can sit at the bar and enjoy the resort pool, or walk around parts of the island (guided or unguided).

It also act as a watchdog for turtle trade in Bali.
