Guide to Saint Tropez Outdoors

It would be a pity to visit Saint Tropez and not explore the surrounding areas. The location and natural environment are truly unforgettable, and the mountains, the creeks, and the islands provide incredibly beautiful views. So I suggest you hire a car and go up into the hills or along the coastline to find real natural gems — often hidden from many tourists — to discover some wonderful, picture postcard landscapes.

The most easily-accessible natural spot is just above the village of Saint Tropez. The citadel is a must-visit both for the history of the site; but also for the best views of the red rooftops of the village center and the port.

This is the most famous beach close to Saint Tropez, also the starting point for a number of hikes. Make sure you come back to relax on the beach after hiking to Cap Camarat from here.

This is the most recognizable building in Saint Tropez and — although often overlooked by tourists — the church is an important symbol for the locals. Plus, you'll spot it as one of the key sights as you take in the view from the citadel.
