Enrique A's City Tips

  • Most downtown restaurants are within easy walking distance, while those located at various beaches require taking a taxi or renting a car.
  • Travel easily to Cozumel by ferry from Cancún, Playa del Carmen, or Calica.
  • If you are going to walk a lot, wear sneakers not sandals.
  • Carry sunscreen, bottled water, and possibly your snorkeling equipment (if you have some).

This beautiful place is home to a variety of marine life, and an underwater dive here is a little like exploring a living museum, eager to showcase the best of its collection. From cat sharks to lobsters, the wall is a colorful catwalk of nature.

    Enrique A Says:

Although it's a small Mayan archaeological zone, San Gervasio is really worth taking the time to visit. As it's on an island, its setting differs greatly from more famous sites such as Tulum and Chichén, and makes it a convenient cultural stop whilst on the island.

This beautiful beach is formed of several different depths thanks to the way hurricane Wilma swept through the island. Here, you can take a swim, enjoy a walk on the sand, or simply lie down and relax to the sound of the waves.
