Wow thanks for answering the question for us Bobannieo! Fully agree one night is very short and we do have transfer companies that we can recommend, the inclusions are accommodation, all meals , game drives and game drive drinks. You can contact us on our email (sorry unable to post our email address, but you can find it on our website or the TripAdvisor page) and we are more than happy to send you more info

Hi I think you would need to contact the lodge directly to get answers to your questions re transfers etc. They have an email address, web page and phone number.

We hired a car and drove everywhere. We did drive back from Amakhosi to Durban airport but we stopped on the coast overnight to see the hippos.

I personally don't think it would be worth traveling there for 1 night.

They normally include 2 game safaris one is at 7/8 o'clock in the morning and one at 4 o'clock. The safaris last 2/3 hours. With the journey from and too Durban you would miss at least 1 safari. Go for 2 nights at least, it was the most fantastic experience. All meals were included.

We think the journey would be 4 hours from the airport so if you only did 1 night you would need the the timing to be right to just make the safaris.

Amakhosi is about 350kms from Durban. I would recommend hiring a vehicle with a GPS. You can stay one night but you will be doing yourself injustice. You need two days atleast to enjoy what Amakhosi has to offer. Staying one day is like someone taking away your favorite meal while you are in the middle of it and not returning it.
