La Creole Beach Hotel & Spa Questions & Answers

1. What are the best buildings to be at? My fiance is 6'6" tall and I've been reading about shower heads that are very low in some buildings. can we request a building ahead of us arriving?

2. How did you get from the airport to the hotel and how much does it cost? what are the options?

3. Please recommend places to dine just outside of the hotel. Good food and not pricey.

4. Is the tap water drinkable?

Thank you so much; we are arriving mid November

We stayed in the Terrace rooms which are located on the ground floor, they are lovely. The bathrooms are very European, meaning entirely open, the shower heads can be moved to different levels so you should not have any trouble. The meals served in the restaurant are wonderful, we ate the buffet every evening, it cost 75 Euro for two,

there are a couple of places across from the hotel that serve different things such as pizza and so on. I only drink bottle water period. I do hope one of you speak French as not many people speak English, my wife's native tongue is French so it saved us a lot of trouble. Hope this helps.

I don´t know where it is best to stay, but our room was in the two floor building with sea view. We rented a car and visited both Grand Terre and Basse Terre and stayed at different hotels. If you want to see different places we can recommend to hire a car. It is easy to get around and we loved Basse Terre with the great mountains and nice places to do scuba diving.

Just next to the hotel there are some ok dinner places, shortly before you arrive to the hotel there are 3-4 small local restaurants - we tried one of them and the food was very good and not pricy. We find the prices for food and drinks at the hotel restaurants very pricy. The breakfast which is included is very good.

As far as I remember the tap water is drinkable.

If you like to go on a catamaran day cruise to Petit Terre, which is a wonderful place just to relax, swim or go snorkeling we can highly recommend Paradoxe Croisieres Day Cruises - but make a reservation in advance - we had to wait a week because they were fully booked up.
