Hi, my partner and I are in our mid- to late-twenties, and we are searching around for nice getaway places (for January) to break free from the City. I really like how you can relax by the pool and take a bath with an amazing view and go for horse rides and see the animals instead of sitting in a car.
My question is: (this may sound stupid) Is this Lodge more suitable for the older generation or will we fit in as a younger couple? One of the reasons why I ask this is because we also want to let loose a bit and maybe have more than only one or two drinks (just enjoy ourselves). But I would completely understand if this Lodge is more for doing day trips and early nights.
We went as a couple (early 30's) and there is a whole range of ages there - you don't need to worry about it - age is the last thing you'll be thinking about !
My sister and I are in our mid 20s and both loved it. There are plenty of drink options in the bar, wine served with dinner every night (other options if you're not a wine drinker) and drinks at sundowners. We didn't drink massively, probably 2 or 3 glasses of wine each night and a beer at sundowners which was along the same lines as everyone else but the option for more was there. It's not somewhere you're going to be partying into the night but then you'll probably be too tired after being in the saddle all day to want to do that anyway. I couldn't recommend it more, I've actually already booked up to go back next year!
Hi our group was in our 50's (30's if anyone I know asks !) we like a drink or two and did Consume our fair share . The others staying there were younger than us prob about 30ish and they drank but none of us had late nights as a day on the saddle with fab food and much laughter in our case was quite tiring . I wouldn't say it's a late night party place but I suppose it depends who else is there when you are . The staff are mostly young so they maybe more likely to party . I would recommend as best thing ever
