I’m currently in Iceland and will be passing by Grabrok crater in the next few days, has any one done this in mid winter? If so how difficult/dangerous is this?
Look forward to hearing back from you soon
If you had experience with a crater, don't bother, its an ordinary crater with no water. Otherwise its worthwhile to see if you had never seen a crater before. But be very careful in Iceland especially in winter. The staircase might be wet and icy, as most scenic places had no fence or guard, precaution is important because not too many people around.
