Hale Ohia Cottages Questions & Answers

Walla Walla, Washington

How can I find out if your hotel is impacted by the closures related to the currently active volcano eruption? It doesn’t seem like your FB page or website have updated announcements. Also, what if the area is closed or evacuated on the days I’m schedule to stay with you?

Aloha Michelle,

At this time, Hale Ohia Cottages has remaining open, and operating. There is currently no threat to us here at Hale Ohia, and if that happens to change, we will notify you. We are encouraging guests to keep their reservations to avoid any type of loss from cancellation. We are in a situation that is changing what seems like, hourly and unfortunately something that is completely out of our control. There are lots of other attractions, and things to do on this side of the island, which we are more than happy to assist you with when you check in with us. Also, there is always the possibility of the park reopening at any given moment.

I hope this helps! If you should have any further questions or concerns please don’t hesitate to call our toll free number from the hours of 8AM to 5PM Hawaii time. (Also would be the best way to check our status)

Thank you for checking the status on your reservation! We are looking forward to seeing you!

Mele Morrison

Check the National Park page, they are currently closed until further notice, without entrance to the park there is no reason on earth to visit Volcano, and especially no reason to stay at the Hale Ohia Cottages.
