The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort Questions & Answers

San Francisco, California

I noticed the drone policy on the St. Regis Maldives website; "Drone Policy: Please be advised that we do not allow the use of drone in the resort." However, I've noticed several people on youtube with drone shots of the resort. Would I be able to obtain permission to fly a smaller drone for the purpose of a travel blog? It is the DJI Spark, a smaller drone (approx. the size of an iPhone 8 plus) as opposed to the larger DJI Mavic.

Guest privacy is our top priority, therefore a strict no drone policy is in place. The images and content you have seen is likely a result of guests who don't know about the policy. We strongly deter guests from using drones and will issue a reminder on property if seen using one.

So I assume you also don't allow guests to take pictures in the resort using an iPhone as iPhone camera can capture more details vs. a drone flying 80 meters above the ground?
