Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens Questions & Answers

Los Angeles, California

We will be in Sonoma County on Nov 23 to 25th. Will the winery be open for a tour and wine tasting. Do we have to make an appointment?

If you want to do the food and wine pairings, you should have a reservation, but you wouldn't need one for wine tasting only. Be sure to walk around the gardens---the vegetables that the chef uses are organically grown there, and it is a pretty and interesting walk.

We didn't in August and got in despite it being very busy. Try to get the window seat.

As it is low season, maybe call ahead as staff would be reduced.

You need to make an appointment for wine tasting. Just visiting does not require a reservation.

It was busy on a weekday when I was there in Sept, I'm sure around Thanksgiving reservations would be highly recommended. As mentioned in another answer, be sure to use the 2 for 1 coupon. We got that from a visitor center. I really enjoyed the food tasting option rather than just the wine tasting although we did both on separate days.

It's not necessary but I would take advantage of making a reservation - it is a much better experience than just stopping in. If you go to their website it has all the different experiences they offer and a coupon for a two for one tasting.
