Hi. We have booked 3 night from 20 May for two rooms and four people. This will be the highlight of our trip. Just a few quick questions. Is it possible to book or organise a walk rather than or in addition to the safari rides in 4WDs? I've seen pictures of the table set up a short distance from camp, it looked like the river bed. Is that the out door dinner people refer to twice a week? If so we are there from Sat to Mon night. Would one of those amazing dinners likely be on one of those nights? Malaria tablets or shots. I've been told we likely will not need them if we use proper spray.
Hi Wayne C -
Thanks for your message and we're looking forward to welcoming you all to Hamiltons in May. Here's some information in reply to your question:
We offer daily 1 – 2 hour walks at Hamiltons and they are usually done after breakfast. These do not have to be booked and can be arranged upon arrival with your camp manager. If you would like to do a walk instead of a game drive we offer a three hour walk that starts at first light and finishes around 09h00. This can also be arranged upon arrival. The outside dinner is actually set up away from the river in front of the lodge and is a lovely experience. We usually do these on a Tuesday or Friday depending on the weather but it can also be done on any other night if requested. NB We are within a malaria area and all advice on preventative measures must please be taken only from a medical professional.
