Has anyone been in January/February and have any advice about bugs? Will regular bugspray be sufficient or do we need long sleeves even though it will be very hot?

We were there in May/June and didn't encounter any bugs, but it's always a good idea to wear long sleeves after dark. Enjoy! It's a fabulous place.

We were there in early September and had zero bug problems. Didn't see so much as one mosquito :-)

I was there in October and it was very hot then too. As for bug spray, they do supply you with bug spray in the lodges. I did not wear long sleeved shirt nor did the rangers who guided us, but this may be personal choice for you.

Good day Savanna,

Thank you for the question. Although bugs are present they are not a big disturbance. Windows in the rooms are fitted with insect screen and mosquito nets are draped over the beds at night. Insect repellent spray is also supplied in the room. Long sleeves would not be necessary during the hotter day time hours, but if you like you can wear light long sleeves at night for some added protection.

You are more than welcome to contact us should you require any additional information.

Kind regards.
