Is the weather in early June suitable for game viewing? Is the grass too long?
You will get to see wildlife morning and afternoon. They did a great job getting us up close and personal with the animals while we were in the open Land Cruiser. Because of the drought they have to feed the animals who gather around watering holes. This allows for great close viewing and photography.
I was there at the beginning of July, the weather was a little cool but very comfortable and no rain. I wore long pants and a jacket in the morning; afternoons were warm enough to go without the jacket.
No there will not be long grass. They are in the middle of a drought. There are trees and brush but almost no grass there.
June is the middle of their winter season. It will be
Cool to cold temperature.
Their spring, September and October, are great months. They are really busy then.
We were there in late July. June is start of winter and is typically dry so should be good. The landscape is “Bush” and is literally Bush and not grassland. I think their winter is a good Time because not hot and not raining. Also less bugs which is important since this is on the edge of malaria risk zone.
