Hi, We are interested in visiting the water slides and swimming pool side of the park, how many hours do you suggest is needed please? We will travel from shelly beach after diving so wondered if half a day is long enough or if a whole day is needed? Thanks

Would have thought 1/2 day. The aquarium is really good. I didn't go on the water slides, saw dolphin show.

Hi Alex, That is great. After spending the morning diving I am sure just the slides will be enough for us plus a dip in the sea too. Did you enjoy the slides?

Thanks for your info

Hey there. We read somewhere that 4 hours was good and it really was! We're a young couple (29 and 31) and we did the aquarium and the water slides in 4 hours :) There is other stuff to do around there, lunch, shops and we took a dip in the ocean as well... Have fun!

Half a day is sufficient although abut longer is preferable. So if you leave Shelley Beach at 7.30 you will be at the marine world ustafter 9, then leave again circa 3.30is, if you can.

Thanks for your reply's. I am sure we will squeeze half a day in after diving (hopefully the tigers will be around us this time). We talked about visiting shaka last time during our last visit to SA and only managed to visit Oribi park. This time we also want to visit lake eland and do the zipline there.

Haha yes I'm sure. The slides were so much fun. My boyfriend wasn't keen initially because of all the kids, but he couldn't stop laughing the entire time! I suggest trying all the rides at least once, the biggest ones, medium and even the very mellow one on a tube as you enter the park... It takes you through the park, super peaceful and a nice way to calm down after all the excitement at the end of the day ;)
