Could any one tell me the dress code at pumba for meals as we like to be quite casial but smart when away , thankyou
They don't really have a dress code for dinner. It was the general rule when we were there that people dined a little more smart than the mornings but please remember that you will still be on the game reserve...possibly spotting leopard! So nothing more grand than a shirt and skirt maybe. Besides you are escourted to and from the place where dinner is served by the rangers, who despite them being very patient with us, spent the day in their boots and gear. So the ranger uniform was still carried during dinner time.
A question about the plugs, they use three pin round get adapters before you go they are the same all over SA. As for how much money to take, well that depends on your own budget, but do expect most meals and drinks to be quite cheap compared to the UK, even in the top restaurants in Cape Town. Pumba was all inclusive when we went.
Smart casual for the evenings, as you are for the breakfast and lunch after the game drives. As has been said before it is wonderful.
Smart casual is entirely acceptable at Pumba. If you sit out side in the evening then wear something warm
It's as smart or casual as you want. We were quite smart in the evening, casual long trousers and a buttoned shirt. Other diners had Polo shirts and smart shorts. It is a great experience I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
At Breakfast and lunch we were casual ,as were others . At Dinner, which is a lovely event,
we dressed up a bit . Nice summer dress or linens . My husband wore smart shorts or chinos in the evening. You can also get laundry done very easily . Have fun it's wonderful
Smart casual is absolutely fine. The atmosphere is very relaxed, if I dressed up like I would on a typical holiday evening I would have felt overdressed and uncomfortable.
can any one tell me what kind of plugs they use in hotel rooms ?
